“Guys you will not believe me!” Tyson excitedly said after entering the apartment, actually Kyle’s apartment, where they usually reunited.
“We don’t tend to believe you anyways” Katherine giggled, one of the girls of the group. She just laid on the sofa scratching her belly and brown hair.
“Hey but I didn’t mean it in that way!” Tyson looked at Katherine while she kept laughing.
“Just spit it out” Kyle said while playing cards with Amy, a nerdy Asian girl that was part of an academic exchange in their college but quickly adapted to them.
“Yes. It isn’t rare to see you like that but now you’re more excited than normal” Amy replied.
“Well, ta-da!” Tyson showed his friends the amulet hanging from his hand. “I bought it in a magic and odd store, it was really cheap but won’t hurt to try it.”
“Magic store? What do you mean” Emma, the fifth, blonde and last member of the group asked. She was just scrolling through her phone but Tyson’s artifact called her attention.
“Yeah! It’s called the shapeshifting and merging amulet…” Tyson began to tell the story of the evil wizard that created a powerful item that allowed him to turn into anything, but later its power was reduced to needing to merge people into the body parts of the wearer in order to complete the transformation the user desired. As Tyson finished the story he noticed how everyone was just staring at him, stopping what they were doing.
“That sounds… Awfully fake.” Kyle answered.
“I know! But as I said you wouldn’t believe me, I’m certain that it should work in some way! You just had to see the things in that place, there were eyes inside a flask that moved by their own, swords that could change its size, mask that could turn you into a furry!” Tyson said back. Amy blushed with the last furry part.
“It truly sounds interesting, if it worked obviously” Amy accommodated her glasses.
“Sounds that you got scammed again!” Katherine said laughing.
“That’s a really cool concept you know, I’ve read a couple of fantasy romantic novel with strange parts but I could never imagine something like that” Emma said turning off her phone. “So… should we test it?”
“Yes!! Finally someone speaking my language” Tyson put the amulet on the table.
Amy looked at the amulet. “But, someone will become the wearer and the rest will… become their body parts?”
“I guess so… that’s why I’m asking for the volunteer” Tyson said.
“Okay, okay” Katherine stood up. “Now is your chance to show if you really bought something worth your money or another new failure to the trash can” she said looking the amulet, she didn’t believe anything Tyson said but looking at it was sort of… hypnotizing.
“I pass” Kyle said but still wanted to see.
