Chronivac Version 4.0

Jeff's New Grandfather

added 21 days ago AP BM S

Before Jeff could do anything else for the night before dinner, he got a call from his older brother, Joey. Joey was currently over at their maternal grandparents house taking care of her.

"Hey, little bro, how's it going?" Joey asked.

"Good, well, Jamie and I were arguing about something a while ago, but we're both over it now. Mom's making dinner, are you going to be home soon?" Jeff asked wondering if he might question who Jamie was but remembered that the Chronivac made it so only he and Jamie were aware of the changes.

"Yeah, I'll get there as soon as I can. I wish I could get home sooner, but grandma's been really lonely since grandpa passed away a few years back. The two of them were so close, I bet if he had lived longer, grandma would be up and about like a spry chicken." Joey said.

"Alright, well anyway, we'll see you soon." Jeff said as he hung up the phone.

Jeff felt bad for his grandmother now, it was true, their grandfather had died a few years back and she hadn't been the same. If Jamie was happy as a young teen, maybe Jeff could indirectly make their grandmother happy. Their grandmother was currently 89 years-old and Jeff's grandfather had been only two years older than her. He got onto the Chronivac again and used it to progress his older brother from 18 to 91.

While Joey was over at his grandmother's house, he got her to take some of her medicine, then felt his stomach ache and proceeded to the bathroom. His entire body was beginning to ache as he now lay on the bathroom floor, his body was stretching out as his memories were now slowly changing. He remembered being born in the mid 1930s and growing up to see the older men, including his father being drafted into World War Two, and his father was tragically killed overseas leaving him to take care of his mother. But that didn't sound right to him, his father was at work and his mother was happily preparing the family a meal.

Now Joey's memories were approaching the early 1950s as his life was becoming a little brighter, especially after he met Mary when they were in high school, the two became high school sweethearts and fell hopelessly in love with each other. Joey thought his girlfriend's name was different, but he couldn't think of another woman other than Mary. Soon the 1960s were approaching as was the height of the Vietnam war in 1968 and this time, Joey decided to serve his country. Mary protested at first, but Joey made a promise to her that when he returned they would be married and save for a limp in his leg after his service in the war, Joey was as healthy as could be. Joey and Mary eventually had their first and only child, Amy, in 1980. The two had wanted children for years, but were never sure when the two of them could ever have children together.

Joey or Joe's hair was turning grey as he now grew to old age and remembered all the years afterwards with Amy meeting Mike, then the two of them having twins giving Joe and Mary grandchildren whom they both loved dearly. Joe now carefully stood up as he looked at himself now, he was a 91 year-old man, father, and grandfather, but he kept himself healthy for his own age, even his his hair was gray now, and he looked like his own grandfather now.

Joe exited the bathroom as he saw Mary there dancing to a song on their old gramophone. Joe smiled as he now came up to Mary and tapped him on the shoulder. "Excuse me young lady, but I was looking for my wife, have you seen her?" Joe asked jokingly.

"I don't know sir, what does your wife look like?" "Well, she's about 89 years young and is as beautiful as the day I met her." Joe complimented as the two now grabbed each other's hands and slow danced together before he gently tipped Mary down and kissed her.

"Oh, Joe, you make me feel like a spry chicken again." "Come on, you're always going to be sexy to me." Joe winked as he gave her a little pinch and Mary gave a tender smack on his face.

"Come on, let's go over to Amy's, she's making dinner tonight." Joe said as the two of them went to their car. It was a more modern day car before, but since Joe aged up it became a retro late 1950s car that he's kept in fine condition for years.
