"Can I say something," Leslie added. Lorelai, Hannah, and Claire paused curious as to what the auburn haired woman had to say. "We have a couple hours until we're back to my place. That being said, I don't know if you remember how boring those car trips were as a kid. If someone becomes a kid again, chances are you're going to be bored to tears."
"She's right," Hannah shrugged. "We don't have an IPad like kids today. If we become kids, we're going to have two options. Take a nap or stare out the window." Claire and Lorelai glanced at one another, the dark haired woman sighing. "Okay good point," she said softly. "I guess I'm just excited to use the watch."
"I get it," Leslie replied. "Tell you what, when we get to my place we'll give you the first chance to use the watch...on all of us." Lorelai seemed to perk up, causing Hannah and Claire to exchange nervous glances. "Seriously," Lorelai asked. "I would get to pick the age for all of us? No matter how young?"
"I mean as long as we're not in diapers," Leslie shrugged. "But yeah, all four of us will become whatever age you wish." Lorelai squealed with joy, thanking Leslie as both Claire and Hannah exchanged glances. What had they just gotten themselves into? They had just regained their adulthood and now they agreed to let Lorelai regress them into children. Both friends now began to worry about Lorelais plans. How old would they be? Twelve? Eight? Six?
With the promise of useing the watch, Lorelai now became quiet. Hannah glanced at the woman, noticing she seemed to be bouncing with excitement. Hannah now dreading their arrival as the minutes ticked by. The quartet became quiet as they pondered what awaited them.
After a few hours, Leslie finally pulled into her driveway. As the car slowly approached the house, Hannah and Claire could feel their stomachs churn. Lorelai was overflowing with exciting, the promise of useing the watch within reach. As the car came to a stop, Lorelai bounded out of the car, practically sprinting to the front door and bouncing with excitement. "Might as well get this over with," Claire sighed, slowly trudging towards the door. As they entered Leslie's hone, they watched the ebony haired woman quickly tour the downstairs before calling the others into the living room.
Entering they could see Lorelai moving chairs into a circle, the smile on her face infectious. "So," she said happily. "Why don't we all take a seat and I'll explain what's going to happen." Leslie, Hannah, and Claire nodded sitting in their chairs as Lorelai sat down. "Now before we begin," she said, glancing at Hannah, Claire, and Leslie. "I want to let you know that there's nothing to worry about. Any changes we make won't be permanent, so reality won't change. Also, I know everyone is a bit apprehensive so I want to assure you that we won't be young for more than an hour."
"Just how young are we going to get," Hannah asked.
"That's my secret," Lorelai smiled. "But don't worry, we'll be old enough to at least be in school. Also after an hour, I'll ask everyone if they want to be older." Claire, Hannah, and Leslie let out a sigh of relief, at least they wouldn't be stuck at whatever age Lorelai had in mind for too long. "But," Lorelai grinned. "If you want we can remain younger longer. I'm flexible, and you might just like it."
Hannah, Claire, and Leslie doubted that as they watched Lorelai now fiddle with the watch. "Okay," she said. "I've synchronized the watch to effect all of us. Right now we're all 28 years old. When I hit the button the regression begins. Any questions?"
"Yeah how long will it take," Leslie asked.
"Few minutes," Lorelai replied. "I find it fun watching yourself go back in time slowly. So, are we ready?"
"As ready as we're going to be," Claire shrugged. Lorelai giggled, the trio watching as she hit the button.
