The August 2024 Edition of Animalia Magazine was called the Audacious August edition primarily because of the new colony expansions that had started in that year, as well as the number of surprises/controversies that surrounded the 2024 Olympics, as well as what was truth and what was actually internet rumor/propaganda.

It was no secret that the biggest article was focused on the new colonies being established, as well as a few others being in the planning stage. What nobody was really surprised about was Gondwana Land, due to all the gold being found there. In fact, the discovery of gold was the impetus for a number of new African colonies. What was the most surprising was that New Zerzura was already working on a few new colonies due to a slight crowding problem. Fortunately, the idea of "trade routes" between the various colonies in Africa and the Middle East were helping with the more... moderate Muslims.

A sub article talked about one of the more confusing aspects of the plan: Caravanserais (which were basically the rest areas/roadside motels of the ancient world), especially since only the real history buffs would know about such a thing. Fortunately, during one planned survey to the south of New Zerzura, the ruins of one was discovered, so the sub article focused on what was being found there.

Another article focused on another new event, the opening of Ninja Prep, the Ryouiki Island branch of WSA. While most people only had anime/manga, movies, and tv shows to give them the ideas of ninjas and what they could do, this article was able to either confirm or debunk many ideas or misconceptions about ninjas. Part of this, as was confirmed by the article, was the simple fact that ninjas were so secretive, and so focused on keeping their secrets, that wild theories had filled the vacuum of 'not-knowing'. Though one recent discovery helped explain that: an actual ninja scroll. Though it didn't reveal any mystical arts, instead it talked about the ninja code of honor, including one surprising twist that nobody expected: if a ninja ever divulged any secrets, they would be hunted down and punished by "big and small gods" across more than sixty provinces of Japan, and one of Japan's nicknames was "land of a thousand gods" due to their unique cultural and historical heritage. Can you imagine being in trouble with more than a thousand gods and not just one?
