Tiff came back with the supplies and Katie waved to her. "Hi, Tiff, I... *ooooh!*"
"Katie, what's the matter?"
"I think I'm in labor... But something's wrong."
"We have to get you to a hospital! Labor takes hours, sometimes it can even take a day. There's plenty of time."
"Yeah, I... it's coming! Tiff, get my pants and my underwear off!"
"But..."
"No but, just do it, please!"
Katie screamed and pushed, pushed on the baby. A few seconds later, the baby was out. Followed by the afterbirth. Tiff had to figure out how to cut the cord. She hoped Katie and the baby wouldn't get an infection or anything, but it was over, except for the mess.
"Whew...." said Katie as she cleaned off the baby in the house's bathroom, which seemed to have normal water.
"I don't understand," said Tiff.
"I think I do. I had an entire pregnancy in such a short time. That's thousands of times faster than normal. The labor's part of the pregnancy, so the labor's very fast, too."
"But now what?" asked Tiff.
