David and Mitch both quickly realised the precarious position they were in. They stuck out horribly in their adult clothes flowing around them, way too large and much to adult. No "daddy" was near them and they were attracting curious stares from all, children and adults alike. They had to get away fast. The problem was that the elevator, the first exit they thought about, was getting rather crowded and their size prevented them from really fighting back if needed. Moreover, the elevator now seemed very normal, going simply up and down, and just remaining in this crazy world.
"We have to slip away," muttered David.
"But where? I doubt these fatsos will let us enter the elevator again..."
"Then we hide until we can take this lift again. We might get out size back to if we reach our own dimension!"
David seized one of Mitch's long sleeves and he dragged him along as fast as he could. They entered a small store that had the name "Small Store For Little Ones". It looked very old and unattended for the moment. Perfect for hiding and as David had noticed, perfect to get new clothes and blend in. The store was dark and the sort that sold second-hand garments. He exposed the rest of his plan to Mitch as they hid amongst boxes of old toys and fabrics.
"We get dressed like those kids outside, go around unnoticed, hide better and hen we get to the elevator once most people have left the mall. We have a better chance of getting to this damn elevator then!"
Mitch nodded, thoroughly convinced.
"Okay," he agreed, looking around. "But what should we put on?"
