Samantha knew the ring was risky, but supposedly the ring would make wishes come true, right? Then it should be possible to put some wishes in place that would minimize most issues that would arise. Samantha took a deep breath and concentrated.
"I wish the ring would never leave my physical possession unless I remove it with the intent of it being physically parted from me, and it would return to me when I stopped having the intent of being parted from it," Samantha said carefully, although nothing happened to give her any indication the wish worked. Nervously, Samantha waved her hands around, and although the ring didn't slip off, she couldn't be sure if it was from the wish or just because the ring fit well. Oh well, she would find out if that one worked eventually. There was still more business to take care of.
"I wish the wishes granted by the ring will not do any physical harm directly or indirectly to anyone unless I specifically wish with the intent to do harm in mind," Samantha continued, but knew that it was another wish she could not easily verify. Still, she felt a little better. Now if her car got left behind anywhere, at least she could rest assured no one would be hurt, and if her car ended up totaled on its own, couldn't she just wish it back to normal?
"I wish the consequences of any wishes I make will be accepted as normal and legal by the rest of the world unless I specifically wish that the results of the wish not be regarded as normal," Samantha listed the last of the safety wishes she could think of. This way if she wished for a million bucks or turned her skin blue, the rest of the world wouldn't think she was a thief or a potential lab specimen, at least that was the plan. Again, no way to verify until she actually made a risky wish, but at least she tried.
Now Samantha looked at the ring with a little less trepidation and a bit more excitement. Given her last wish, why not wish something crazy that would test if the ring worked? Turning on the TV, Samantha decided to go for broke. After all, she could always wish things back to normal afterwards, right?
"I wish every human being in the world..."
