Donavan hadn't set out to make a cluster. It was just something that seemed to happen rather than being planned. While most clusters formed after the age of 20, his technically started while he was still in high-school. He had signed up for an exchange program and ended up spending his junior as a girl in Japan.
Both him and his partner, Yaeko, had made friends during the program they wanted to keep in touch with. Thanks to Swapper they could visit their friends whenever they wanted. Donavan swapped with her so often, it only made sense when she suggested that they make their status as a cluster official.
Both families were used to swapping children so there wasn't too much of a surprise from them. That came later when Yaeko mentions she wanted to admit a Hungarian man named Lazlo into their cluster. His work as a Sommelier was interesting, allowing him access to many fine dining restaurants. He even owned his own Vinyard and made his own wine. It was certainly more exciting then Yaeko's job working in an office.
Donavan wasn't sure at first, but he Lazlo's life was exciting. Besides, Donavan ended up inviting someone himself. Sophia was a model from London he met at a swap meet. Donovan worked as a photographer and took some pictures of her. She asked if he ever wanted to be in front of the camera and next thing he knew, Donavan was a woman posing in a bikini. Soon she was a member of the cluster.
Eventually, when Lazlo was traveling for work he met an Australian man named Alec, who was in a cluster with a woman in Hawaii named Kalani, who was a professional hula dancer, and a man who ran a safari in Africa named Jabari. The two managed to convince their respective groups to merge.
Donovan was 25, but his other bodies were anywhere from 22 to 30. While it wasn't his original plan, he enjoyed his other lives. Donovan set his app to automatically accept and swap with his cluster members while he slept. So he wasn't too surprise when he woke up in another body.
