Mad Science

Delivery Boy

added by Anonymous 4 months ago AR

Dr. Clowngoggles was in his lab, excitedly waiting for a special delivery. The package contained crucial scientific equipment that would help him refine the Yo-Yo Ray even further. He paced back and forth, his rainbow goggles perched on his nose, his mind buzzing with ideas. Just then, the doorbell rang, and the moment he had been waiting for had arrived.

The eccentric scientist hurried to the door, flinging it open to reveal a tall, muscular delivery man standing on the porch, holding a large box. The man had a no-nonsense look about him, with broad shoulders and a square jaw, his uniform neatly pressed. He was clearly the type who took his job seriously.

“Good afternoon!” Dr. Clowngoggles greeted him with a wide grin. “I’ve been expecting you.”

“Afternoon, sir,” the delivery man replied, his voice deep and steady. “Got your package here. It’s a bit heavy, so be careful when you handle it.”

As the delivery man handed over the box, Dr. Clowngoggles couldn’t help but notice the man’s strong, capable hands. An idea sparked in his mind—a mischievous glint appearing in his eyes. This delivery man was the perfect candidate for a little experiment.

“Thank you so much,” Dr. Clowngoggles said, taking the package. Then, as if a thought had just occurred to him, he added, “By the way, would you be willing to assist me with a quick experiment? It’s entirely harmless, I assure you.”

The delivery man raised an eyebrow, slightly wary but intrigued. “An experiment? What kind of experiment?”

“Oh, just a small demonstration of a new device I’ve invented,” Dr. Clowngoggles explained, holding up the Yo-Yo Ray. “It won’t take more than a minute of your time.”

The delivery man hesitated, glancing at his watch. “Well, I’ve got a schedule to keep, but I guess I can spare a minute. What do I need to do?”

“Just stand right there,” Dr. Clowngoggles instructed, his excitement barely contained. “This will only take a moment.”

Before the delivery man could ask any more questions, Dr. Clowngoggles aimed the Yo-Yo Ray at him and pressed the button. A bright blue beam shot out, enveloping the man in a shimmering light.

The delivery man blinked in surprise, his body suddenly tingling all over. “What’s… what’s happening?” he stammered, his deep voice already sounding uncertain.

The tingling sensation intensified, and he could feel his body changing, shrinking. His broad shoulders began to narrow, his strong arms growing thinner. He looked down in alarm as his uniform, once snug and tailored, started to hang loosely on his frame.

“No, no, no!” the delivery man gasped, his voice cracking as it pitched higher. He grabbed at his uniform, trying to keep it from slipping off his rapidly shrinking body. “What’s happening to me?!”

Dr. Clowngoggles watched with a keen eye as the man’s transformation continued. The delivery man’s facial hair faded away, his square jawline softening as his features became more youthful. His once confident stance wavered as he grew shorter, his legs and arms becoming lanky and awkward like those of a teenage boy.

“Doc, you’ve gotta stop this!” the delivery man pleaded, his voice now that of a frightened adolescent. He stumbled backward, his oversized shoes making it difficult to keep his balance. “I feel… weird. My mind… it’s like I’m forgetting things…”

The panic in his voice was palpable, and he clutched his head as if trying to hold onto his adult thoughts. Memories of his responsibilities, his job, and his life as a grown man were slipping away, replaced by the simpler, carefree thoughts of a teenager.

“No, I can’t… I can’t go back to being a kid!” the boy exclaimed, his voice cracking with fear. He looked up at Dr. Clowngoggles, his eyes wide and pleading. “Please, make it stop! I don’t wanna be a kid again!”

But the transformation was far from over. The Yo-Yo Ray’s effects continued, and the delivery man’s body regressed further. His teenage features softened, his limbs becoming shorter and chubbier. His uniform now draped over him like a tent, far too large for his small, childish frame.

The man—now just a little boy—looked down at his tiny hands in disbelief, his mind struggling to process the rapid regression. “I… I feel so small… so… scared…” he whispered, his voice now a high-pitched whimper. Tears welled up in his big, round eyes as he realized how much he had changed. “I… I can’t think like a grown-up anymore…”

The boy’s mind was awash with confusion, the adult thoughts and memories fading away completely, replaced by the simple fears and worries of childhood. He felt lost, overwhelmed by the enormity of the world around him.

Dr. Clowngoggles observed the transformation with a mix of fascination and satisfaction. The once strong, confident delivery man was now a frightened, tearful little boy, his mind and body fully regressed.

“There, there,” Dr. Clowngoggles said gently, kneeling down to the boy’s level. “You’ll be alright. This was just a little experiment, and I promise I’ll turn you back to normal.”

The boy sniffled, wiping his nose with the back of his hand. “You promise?” he asked, his voice trembling.

Dr. Clowngoggles shrugged. "It's science. Hard to see if any of this will work. But that's what's so exciting, my boy. We'll just have to see what happens next..."
