As I sat down on a long leather covered table which seemed to be the only furniture in the small room, the hostess gave Becky her new cup of coffee.
"You both rest here till the shakes' pass off and then we'll talk," the lady stated and turned to leave drew a curtain over the doorway.
I sat with my head in my hands as waves of warm discomfort ran up and down legs, arms, and back. "Oh Becky I feel like I'm roasting in here!"
"Maree it's very cool in here, not hot at all, maybe you need to take off some clothing to cool down."
"What," I said, yet the thought seems so right. I peeled off my blouse, kicked off my heels and layed back on the table.
"I'm Sorry, as Becky started to cry, "I bought one of her joke potions and put some in your coffee, I'm sorry !"
I was angry, the thought of her being so silly and now it feels like a poisen and not a potion. Becky leaned over me and sipped her coffee. "Maree, you look rather pale and your toes look dark colored, I think we should call 911."
I sat up as head got heavy and my skin prickled. Becky walked toward the draped entry and stopped suddenly.
"MAREE, she locked us in, look there's a door behind the drape and it's locked."
As I got to my feet a weakness hit me and I called to Becky, "WHY did you give me that stuff, what was on the label anyway?"
"Ahhh.. 'Capra Skin Potion' The new Genus for Life, I think cause the jar is still by the coffee."
