The term 'Snektember' originated in the furry fandom, usually meant as nothing more than a theme for a month's art such as MerMay and Julycanthropy. But even though it was still the Year of the Dragon, there was plenty of thought regarding the upcoming Year of the Snake competition. After all, these zodiac festivities take months to prepare for. And it did make sense for those who wanted to compete to start training in September so they will be ready at the end of January. Particularly those who had recently converted into serpents or have been uplifted as one. This month will be the latest that contestants can sign up, though the absolute deadline was October 1st. After that, there can be no more entries. And with a small discount towards serpentine conversions, this was definitely the time to get started.
One notable new converter was a man named Tom. Though a lot of people called him Tom Thumb on account of his dwarfism. However, he had learned a little too late that dwarfism wasn't his only problem. It was already hard enough for him to get around before his diabetes cost him his feet. So Tom was definitely ready to go through conversion. And when he heard about the current discount for snake conversions, including the discount for additions like extra arms, he knew what he wanted. And his conversion into a four-armed boa constrictor certainly didn't left him puny anymore. He still had the nickname Tom Thumb, though that was more due to the fact that he had four thumbs now.
There was another conversion that wasn't much of a surprise. Fang had made it no secret that she wanted in on the relationship between Muxing and Li-Wei. Specifically, as Li-Wei are two individuals with the same body, they each wanted their own mate. Li was already taken with Muxing and Fang was very willing to be with Wei. So this month was as good a time as any to take their relationships to the next level. But what Fang hadn't told any of them was that she wasn't planning on just being a tree viper. She had been planning on going herm for a while and this month's discount fit into her plans nicely. Muxing and Li-Wei were certainly surprised by Fang's new additions, but Fang assured them that shi would only love them. And Muxing admitted that she might be a little more bi than she was willing to acknowledge before. The vipers' first time together was certainly enjoyable for all parties involved. But after that, they had to begin training for the upcoming event.
