Francisco Fuzzychest pondered for a while. Like many daddies in the Daddy Dimension, he wanted dearly a son. And he had found one, by pure chance. But unlike many of the daddies in this world, he did not feel quite ready for it. Nothing wrong with that, some daddies being more ready earlier to take in boys and thus ardently trying to get ones. While others being quite slower and more willing to wait until they found the perfect son.
And Francisco had had fun with little Davey, no question about it. And "Little Davey" WAS cute. No question about it either. But to take in a little baby all of a sudden felt a bit too strange. Francisco felt that he was not fully ready yet. He required more time to decide what sort of son he wanted. He was just part of these daddies whom needed more time and observations to fully know what they wanted. So spending a bit of time with Davey was fun, but actual adoption... Well, that was a very big responsibility and he fully knew that he was not ready for such a demanding commitment. But he COULD offer the boy - former man, though - he'd regressed to a gurgling baby a good home. And he knew where to go. Heck, he'd get money out of it too.
Francisco went to the store "To The Happy Parent's" and was told that he could get 300 Dad Bucks for David. It was enough for him and he had no time to haggle so he pocketed the money and left, not even sparing a last backward glance at the baby. Not that David was aware of it, as his mind had regressed to a baby's as well.
As for the pot-bellied owner of the store, he wasted no time in making David the star attraction of his store. Rarely did he get to sell boys to prospective daddies, as most were snatched up way before they reached his business by men more than happy to fulfill their fatherly desires. so suddenly and unexpectedly. As it was warm already, he dressed up David in a big frilly blue bonnet, installed him in a crib and let him play with a large rattle, surrounded by teddy bears. There. The picture-perfect baby just begging to be cooed at and coddled. No need to shut the lid on a crib for him like a cage, as he was just too young and immature to hope escape. He was now too obsessed with his toys, at any rate. The owner smiled largely. Yes, he would charge quite a bit for that boy. At least 500 Dad Bucks. And if the customer wished to alter David's appearance further, well, it would be their choice. Though he doubted it. The baby was a living representation of the word "cute" so customers would be drawn to that. And he had placed the crib right in front of the display case, meaning any passer-by would get his eye caught. The owner rubbed his hands greedily. Perfect! He doubted sincerely that the kid would not be gone by the time the store closed that evening.
