For many, the beginning of Fall (or Autumn, as some people prefer to call it) starts with the Fall Equinox, but not everyone celebrates fall the same way, and this was especially true for Animalia and its colonies.

For Heiya Prefecture (the unofficial name for the islands between Japan, China, and the Korean Peninsula), this was the beginning of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
It was also when the 'Retreat to Beat the Heat' was finally wrapping up. The Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Governments (both North and South) had a lot more data on both Animalian Conversions and RHS. Indeed, some among those who converted were staying for various reasons, since Ao Guang Island was going to be a "party capital" similar to Las Vegas. Because of that, Miss Fabina was doing a Zoom Call with the Azure Dragon about a way to get absolute proof about whether or not someone was sober enough to enter into one of the clubs.
"But I don't see how getting someone to blow on the antenna of a walkie-talkie radio would be 'absolute proof'..." said the Azure Dragon, visibly confused at Miss Fabina's suggestion.
"It actually doesn't actually test someone's blood-alcohol level," explained Miss Fabina, giggling slightly at the most recent memory, "It actually tests if they're sober enough to see it for what it really is." She then uploaded a clip of a group of college girls trying to convince the bouncer (a Wolf Animalian) that they were sober enough to see the "furry studs", as they called them. The bouncer clearly didn't need a canine nose to smell the alcohol on them, so decided to use the "radio test", as it was unofficially known in Animalia, and the group of girls failed it. Hard.

It was also a good time to debunk an internet rumor surrounding the 'Retreat'. While there were men there, they were outnumbered by the women 3 to 1, and they were also between the ages of 30-60, with several being 70, and only two or three being at least 80, and the Azure Dragon himself being at least 90. Many of these newly converted men would be going on to be bouncers at the various clubs, lifeguards at the beaches, and similar occupations.

Of course, there were other things going on in Animalia and elsewhere. Jeremy was, understandably, surprised that Polly had joined Animalia Ambassadoria, but he was also happy for her. There was also no doubt that Jeremy would be looking forward to Polly's first episode, but that wouldn't be for a while.

Another thing that was going on, that was a little unexpected at first but understandable after the fact, was that Abby and Samson hadn't moved in with Abby's uncle quite yet. Mainly this was due to Abby wanting to spend time with Ava (who was transitioning from the "crawling" to the "walking" stage), and partly because JT's ranch was becoming the center of a new Animalia Colony. While things were still in the planning stage, there was no doubt that Animalia was expanding even faster than before.
