When Bea steps onto the pavement in front of the house, the 12-year-old turns her head left and right, trying to decide which direction she’d like to head, that is when she notices a young boy, maybe around eight, wearing a onsie which looks like a tiger, head into a house a few houses down to her right.
“Looks like someone is throwing a costume party,” the 12-year-old says.
“What is a costume party,” Misty asks.
“Oh, it’s where children, teens or even adults dress up as animals, pirates, fairies and other stuff, some even dress up as toys or vehicles,” Bea says, “I always felt that these… “parties” are just a cover up, that these people don’t want anyone to know what they truly are. However, they can’t fool me, now with my power I can finally help these poor people become what they truly are!”
Misty smiles, “sounds like you’d have a lot of work to do,” she says, “I’ll gladly help you help those poor humans become what they truly are”.
Bea smiles, “thanks, Misty,” she says, “but I can’t just barge in and transform them into what they should be, I need to stay out of sight. I think I’ll transform myself into a fairy, like you, that way it’ll be easy to enter the house and stay out of sight, right?”
Mist nods, “yeah, it has its advantages being this tiny!”
So, Bea starts heading towards the house, when she’s two feet away, she hides herself behind a tree, then concentrates on becoming a fairy.
Bea first feels herself shrink, her clothes change into a turquoise one-piece gymnastic-like bodysuit, she then feels small wings grow from her shoulder blades which instantly begin to flutter. The 12-year-old smiles as she flies in circles for a few moments, “this is so fun,” she says, “this will be my new real form from now on, my human-form is just a “costume”, a “disguise”, to prevent anyone from finding out!”
Misty smiles and nods, “you are a natural,” she says, “I do believe that you should have always been a fairy, how else would you be able to know how to use your wings?”
Bea smiles, “I feel so happy and free,” she squeaks, “welp, we have work to do, let’s go, sister Misty,” she then says with a giggle.
Misty smiles wide, “I never had a sister,” she says, “so, I’ll happily be yours, I goes, since I’m older than you, that makes me the big sister?”
Bea nods, “would make sense,” she says as they both fly towards the house, “how old are you, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“I’m 200 years old,” Misty says, “it sounds old, I get it, but if I were a human, I’d be about 13, maybe 14, but not older!”
“I see,” Bea says, she then smiles, “I always wanted a big sis! Now I got her!”.
The two fly around the house until they find a half open window which they use to slip inside the house, to not be spotted, the two flutter straight for a high shelve, after landing, they both kneel and peer over the edge, smiling at each other when they notice all the figures, big and small, dressed in various types of costumes, some as animals, some as toys and some even as vehicles, but also there are some dressed as princesses, princes and knights.
Bea’s eyes land on a figure, sitting all by itself on the couch, Bea can’t tell if the figure is male or female, since it’s wearing a full body costume of a fox. “I think I found my first person,” she says, pointing to the figure.
Mist nods, “the figure looks unhappy,” she then turns her head, “I think I’ll help that princess and prince over there, since I’m more practiced with my magic, I’ll be able to help both at the same time. Don’t worry, Bea, you’ll soon will be able to help multiple people, you just need to learn to control your powers and know your limits. Take it easy, one small step after the other!”
Bea nods her head, “yeah, I don’t want to overdo it,” she says, then both fly from the shelf and towards their targets.
