Mary continued to watch her belly get larger, and soon more parts of her body were swelling as well. Her breasts grew out and her hips looked much bigger.
"What's happening?" Mary asked herself, half-expecting an answer to come out of nowhere. As she stared at her growing body, her arms began to feel painful, as if the bones inside were trying to escape.
She tried to move her arms in front of her, but could barely control the writhing muscles. A gasp escaped her mouth as she discovered the fingers on her hands had doubled! Her hands were actually splitting apart at the wrist, and soon there were two full hands attached to each of Mary's arms.
The splitting continued up her arms, until she finally had two complete pairs. They moved about in the air, uncontrollable. Her four hands were clenched in the pain that continued to wrack her upper body.
Mary screamed as her skull felt like it was being pulled apart. Her head seemed to push forward as her neck tried to pull it back. Her voice became twisted, gaining an echo as her head lengthened and her shoulders expanded. Her vision cut out completely, as well as her hearing. After a moment, she realized she could open her eyes again, and when she did she was staring at a large mass of blond hair--her hair!
Moving her neck and head about, she realized that another head had grown directly in front of hers. It was attached to shoulders that were continuing to separate from her body from the chest down. Her new pair of arms was attached to this second body as well, and she could do nothing but stare open-mouthed as she continued to separate. Now her legs shredded in two, her new right leg pulling itself away from Mary's body and stepping onto the carpet. The left leg followed suit, completely separating the two bodies.
Mary watched in horror as the new her stood not two feet away, staring at itself in the mirror. She was shocked when she heard her own voice coming from it.
"That's weird...I felt something, but nothing seems different."
Mary let out a gasp, prompting this new body to turn around and face her. The look of shock was now duplicated on her face as well.
"W...what happened?" they both asked at once. Mary stepped farther away from her double, barely able to comprehend staring at an exact copy of herself. Looking at her own face on another person was much stranger than seeing herself in a mirror.
"You...you came out of me..." Mary stammered.
"What? That's ridiculous," Mary's double said. "You probably came out of me."
"But I remember everything," Mary said. "I remember getting the vials, growing up..."
"I remember too," the other Mary protested. "We're the exact same, aren't we?"
Now Mary began to wonder which of them was really the newly-formed copy. Perhaps there was an equal amount of the original Mary in both of them? The two Marys continued staring at each other, taking in the sight of their familiar naked bodies.
"The female vial...," Mary said. "I took too much of it--"
"WE took too much of it," the second Mary corrected. "And since it couldn't make our single body more female than it already was..."
"...it made another female out of us," the first Mary finished. Was she the first Mary? Did the other Mary believe herself to be the first Mary?
"I know what you're thinking," her double said. "Which of us is real, and which of us is a copy? I think we're exactly the same no matter what."
"I was beginning to think the same thing," Mary admitted.
"Then why not just let it go at that, and keep trying out these vials? At least we're not alone in the fun anymore."
Mary had trouble arguing with that logic. She glanced back over at the box and felt her sense of curiosity returning stronger than ever. If it could make her grow an udder and split her body apart, what else could these things do?
