Leah feels a pressure in her bowels. Her body, recognizing that she's wearing a diaper, quickly caves to its urge.
Leah's knees bend into a squat. She begins to push, still looking at the map.
"I think- we should- go-" Leah says between grunts. Rita interrupts her.
"Leah, are you messing yourself?" she asks. Leah's eyes widen. She is! "Did you realize you were?"
"I- I think I knew- the entire time-" Leah says, still grunting as she pushes the contents of her bowels into her diaper.
"Finish, then we can talk," Rita says. Leah nods. She sets down the map and focuses on pooping, her face red with effort as she pushes harder. Finally, she finishes. She looks up at Rita.
"I think part of me knew the entire time, but I didn't really think about what I was doing," she says. "Not until you pointed it out."
"Hmm. Any idea why?" Rita asks. Leah shrugs.
"I guess since I knew I was wearing a diaper, I didn't think before using it."
"Then I think you need to be in one for the rest of your stay with me, regardless of whether you're in the house or not," Rita says. "Having an accident is one thing. Knowing what you're doing but not seeing it as a problem is another."
Leah nods. She knows she should be upset about being diapered constantly the rest of her stay. But for some reason, she isn't. She's not happy, but she's not sad or angry, either. She just feels... neutral. Like it's a fact of life.
As Rita leads Leah to the bathroom for a change, Leah thinks on her new perspective. She's already decided how she feels about being diapered for the week, but not how she feels about the fact she was using her diaper almost on purpose.
