Tina stared intensely for a few seconds more before giggling to herself.
"Sorry, it was too much not to at least tease. Of course she won't be staying like that."
Leah felt a sigh of relief, followed by a hint of guilt. Of course Tina wouldn't keep her this way, that's be horrid on a number of levels. She gave a grateful smile to her step-mom, glad that this terrible experience was almost over. Tina returned a smile in kind, reaching down to pinch her cheek.
"I wouldn't do that to you, even if this behavior is so adorable I wish you were like this forever!" The woman baby talked in exaggeration. Leah got it was a joke, but still...damn, did Tina just REALLY want a toddler for a step-daughter.
"Changes made." The cash register stated.
"Hm?" Tina looked up to see the strangely exaggerated man, face too long and arms too wide. Suddenly, Leah's clothes disappeared, and her original outfit was returned.
"Lose the clothing, keep the skills." The man said with a too wide smile.
"Huh? Oh, no. I want neither."
"Too late, the change is permanent."
The statement took a good few seconds to fully sink in, and Leah's stomach began to sink.
"Uh, what?"
"Gaga bo?" Leah blinked in surprise at the words. With a look of horror, Leah realized the 'skills' remained. If there were any doubt, the front of her jeans suddenly turned wet, causing tears to build up in her eyes. Didn't she wet herself enough? How is she still peeing?
"Um, sir? That's...that's ridiculous. I never wanted her to-"
"-have this behavior that would last forever? Your words." The man said with a robotic chuckle.
Tina's face started to drain of color as she, too, realized this wasn't some simple misunderstanding.
"I-I didn't mean that, I was tease- please, I take it back, turn her back to normal!"
"No can do! Once a purchase is made, it's final! Have a nice day!" The man said, and with a wave goodbye prompted Tina and her cart to propelled rapidly forward, out of the entrance at a blurring speed. Before they even realized it, the two were outside, and the doors shut behind them. The two stood there for a few moments, the events too great and too fast to process. Finally, Tina scampered back towards the doors, stumbling slightly in her new stilettoes. The doors did not automatically open, but she didn't care as she started banging her fist against it loudly.
"Excuse me? Excuse me?! You just left my step-daughter physically and mentally impaired! Hello!?"
Meanwhile, Leah was struggling to exit her position. Moving, as it happened, was now incredibly hard as she now had baby like dexterity. It only served to give her more time to fully process her situation. Eventually, Tina stopped, and the two met eyes.
"Oh shit." Tina whispered. Leah couldn't agree more. What could they even do next?
