"What a weirdo..."
Jennifer continued searching for her clothes. A minute later she found them hanging, already dried, on the rack on the balcony. With the conversation already pushed out of her mind, she headed for her room and quickly dressed herself. She decided on a relatively short skirt she liked. Since she was fairly tall she liked showing off her smooth shaven legs. Her top clearly outlined her slightly above average bust, though it was conservative enough to easily pass at school. Then she went to the mirror and fixed her long blonde hair. Just as she left her room, she met her father as he made his way to the kitchen.
"Oh, good morning", Jen said, slightly surprised.
"Mmhh, morning", her father John murmured "Shouldn't you be heading to school already? Is something the matter?"
"Oh nothing, really. I was just about to head out. Shouldn't you be at work?", Jen replied. The 'nothing' was a lie, if just a small one.
"Oh, no, I'm doing home office today. You know how it is, I was just getting myself a coffee. On some days like this, people don't really check on you and you're kinda free to do whatever, as long as you're there when someone calls."
*sigh* "Oh alright. I'll be on my way then. See you later, love you!", Jen replied, realizing that she might run late otherwise.
As Jen made her way out, she realized that something had happened. She thought back of the conversation she had with Kyle. But... even though she had told a lie, nothing happened. She quickly looked over herself, and sure enough, everything looked the same, felt the same.
"What an idiot. Guess it really is nothing but hearsay."
And with that, she continued on her way, oblivious to what had changed.
