When they continue shopping, Leah suddenly becomes fascinated by the items in the baby supplies aisle. She stares at a pack of baby diapers in awe. Those would fit her. The thought is strangely...alluring?
"Leah?" Tina says. Leah tears her gaze away from the diapers.
"Oh, uh, I was just wondering if you need some of these at your daycare," Leah lies.
"Hmm, it's not a bad idea. Go ahead and throw them in the cart. Thanks, sweetie."
Leah puts the pack of diapers into the cart, secretly excited.
They finish shopping and load up the car. On the way home, Leah scrolls on her phone. She sees posts on social media of clips from baby cartoons. She watches every single one all the way through. It's the best thing she's ever seen!
The rest of the day goes by all right, though Leah sneaks the pack of diapers into her room when Tina's not looking. She continues to look at clips of cartoons, enjoying them more than watching clips of concerts. She also experimentally goes online to look at baby clothes, but while she's fascinated by them and the idea of wearing them, holds off on getting them.
After everyone is asleep for the night, Leah opens the diaper pack. She removes her pajamas and tapes a diaper on. It feels...right.
