The rest of the day passed, and after the night had passed, Jen woke up and went to school, doing her best to avoid any lies. Thankfully her family dynamic was basically not impacted yet, but school was different. While passing through the hallways before the beginning of her first class, there was way more talking about her behind her back. It didn't help that she was feeling more self-conscious than usual, since she was basically going commando safe for the fur that nearly covered up her privates completely.
She was a bit notorious before, but she did command something you could call silent respect. Her changes had lowered her standing at school, even if just a little bit, and her new wolf ears did help a lot in picking it up as well. She could hear some of more nerdy boys talking about how they wanted to feel her new furry ears or wondering if that was the only part about her that was different, while other girls called her 'bitch' and other similar insults under their breath.
'Best not to pick any fights, if I end up lying over some stupid insults I won't forgive myself', she thought to herself. 'If I mess up there's no way to tell what'll change next. The safest changes might have already happened.'
Soon enough she reached the maths teachers office and wanted to knock, though just then he arrived behind her.
"Mrs Smith? Is this about the assignment you missed?", he spoke in a harsh, raspy voice.
"Yes, here it is!", Jen tried to stay neutral. She really did not like him, but it was the best approach to go about this diplomatically.
"Hmm... seems like everything is there. I'll overlook it this time, if you keep it up. You'll get it back graded alongside the other students, later."
"Thank you.", Jen smiled and went on to her first class, although she could hear some students making fun of her more surprisingly reserved attitude.
