Before she can lose her nerve, Tina uses the command phrase that will make Leah a baby in everything but her mind for a full month. Tina doesn't want Leah to lose her spunky personality or intellect, after all. This is just making her body habits and general behavior fit that of a baby.
"It's okay. You're still my little girl."
Immediately, Leah's legs buckle under her, as she gains a baby's walking ability. Leah gets back up, using a chair for support, only to squat. Tina walks over to Leah. A wet spot appears on the front of Leah's jeans. And judging by the grunting coming from her, that's not the only accident she's having. Leah eventually straightens with a sigh of relief, a visible lump in the seat of her pants.
"Let's get you in a diaper," Tina says. She grabs the diaper bag and Leah, then goes to the living room. Leah looks confused.
"Mommy, what do?" she mumbles. Her eyes widen at her baby way of talking and calling Tina "mommy".
"It's just for a month, baby. Then you can go back to normal. If you want," Tina says. She's hoping for one of two outcomes. The first is most ideal, that Leah loves the baby life and wants to stay in it. The second isn't as good but is still acceptable; Leah gets so used to the baby life that she doesn't go back to normal after the trigger wears off. If neither happens, well, Tina will deal with it when it comes. But she does have the permanent triggers she can lean on...
"How?" Leah asks as Tina lays her on her back. Tina pokes her nose playfully.
"That's not something a baby needs to worry about," she says. The phrase makes Leah completely forget her confusion and concern over how Tina is doing this. Tina doesn't want to meddle with Leah's mind, but she can't have Leah stressing like this. It won't make her want to stay a baby.
Tina pops a pacifier into Leah's mouth, which occupies her enough to not struggle or fuss during the first diaper change of many. In a few minutes, Leah is in a thick diaper and cute pink onesie with a tutu.
"Now, here's the deal. I'm going to show you just how good baby life is, and you'll want to stay a baby," Tina says. Leah looks at her doubtfully, still sucking on the pacifier. "The first thing we'll do is..."
