Over the course of the next few days, Tina gradually introduces more and more toddler behaviors into Leah. The idea of baby Leah is amazing, but Tina wants her to have some more capability than a baby, so toddler it is. Tina is most upset when she makes the decision to have Leah only be in diapers when she's sleeping or on a long car ride or some other instance where she can't get to a toilet quickly. She does put Leah in training pants, however. It works well with Leah continuing to attend high school.
On Sunday, the inevitable happens. Leah throws a temper tantrum over the idea of going back to high school. Her classes got more and more difficult as Tina took away some of her skills, she keeps having accidents because there's extra steps to using the bathroom, and a couple people have made fun of her for lisping and sucking her thumb. The couple times she's visited Tina's work, she's liked that more, and wants a school like that.
Tina wasn't expecting this, and she's not sure why. Of course Leah would stop getting anything out of high school, she's more toddler than teen at this point! Though she's still laboring under the impression that she's a perfectly normal teen. Just one that needs protective underwear.
In the middle of her temper tantrum, Leah suddenly lets out a fart. Thanks to her minimal at best potty training, she has a tendency to need to poop when she has a strong emotion. Sometimes she makes it to the potty in time, sometimes, like this time, she doesn't.
"All right, *strawberry* girl, just finish up," Tina says gently. "I'll make some calls." Leah's tears and upset go away immediately. She gets into a squat and actively begins to poop into her training pants.
It only takes a few calls for Leah to be taken out of high school (Tina claims they're going to homeschool) and enrolled in Tina's daycare as her toddler stepdaughter.
Tina comes back to Leah, now sitting in her poopy training pants, happily sucking on her pacifier. Maybe Tina should move Leah to diapers full time, since she's had multiple messy accidents recently and will be going to daycare anyways.
"Go shower and put on your diaper," Tina says. "I'll tell you the good news when you get done."
While Leah is showering, Tina looks at the list of triggers. She feels like, right now, Leah won't quite pass as a toddler. But one more should make no one at work question her. After a moment, Tina finds the command she was looking for.
