Just as Leah thinks that, she finds Tina standing right there outside the bathrooms.
"Oh, there you are! You ran off so quickly, I thought you were sick. Oh...did you change your clothes?"
Leah felt her brain go blank from getting so caught off guard.
"I-I, um, y-yeah, I, uh, you see, this is- I needed- there was a-"
"Goodness Leah, if you *fumble your words* any worse, I might think you were up to something. You aren't planning on stealing those, are you?" Tina teases, acting more playful than suspicious. It didn't make Leah feel any less conscious of the fact that she's currently wearing a diaper, but at least Tina wasn't on her ass.
Leah let out a sigh and shook her head, "Ga ga boo guh guh-"
Leah almost choked as she spoke and nonsense came out. She was trying to explain she already bought the clothes, but her tongue just...didn't work. She felt her cheeks darken as Tina's eye brows shot up in surprise.
"What was that?"
Leah tried again, hoping her tongue just got tied from being flustered, but when she opened her mouth: "Ba ba guu goo-"
Leah covered her mouth, making Tina far more alarmed.
"Leah, what's wrong? Why are you talking like that?"
Leah was too afraid to respond, shaking her head. Why was this happening to her?
"Are you sick? Or hit your head? Should we go to the doctor?" Tina hounded, concern now driving her. Leah was wondering herself, given the problems she had earlier. She shrugs in alarm, unsure what else to do.
"Oh, we should leave then! I can shop later, let's just get out of here."
Leah followed Tina as she abandoned her cart and power walked towards the exit holding Leah's hand. Usually she doesn't like when Tina touches her without prompt, but Leah figures there's enough problems to worry about. They pack away into the car and drive off, Tina turning hard enough to cause her tires to screech.
"Okay, any dizziness? Do you feel faint? Talk to me, Leah!" Tina shouted in panic.
"Ba- ba ba gu bah gah!" Leah shouted back, also in panic.
"I don't know what that means! What kind of ailment makes someone talk *like a baby*?!"
Leah felt her panic wash away into a heavy light headedness, feeling her eye lids become incredibly heavy. It took her all just to keep herself upright.
"Leah? Leah?! Nonono, don't fall unconscious! Try to stay awake!" Tina's loud words were more agitating than helpful, but eventually Leah felt her head return to normal. Or...close to normal. Leah blinks her eyes rapidly, trying to make sense of her surroundings again. She wasn't back to normal, something was incredibly different!
