Before Leah can finish pooping, Tina turns around. Leah feels a strange static sensation in her body. She blinks. Suddenly, she's not filling her underwear with poop. She shifts slightly and feels the distinctive cushion, hears the crinkle. She's now filling a diaper with poop. Her diaper!
"Think you're fine here while I keep going down the shopping list?" Tina asks. Numbly, Leah nods. "Excellent. When we're finished shopping, I'll change you into a fresh diaper."
Tina pushes the cart away. Leah stares at Tina's purse, now a diaper bag stuffed to the brim with things presumably for Leah. Her bowels rumble loudly. Leah bends deeper into her squat, pushing harder. There's a series of loud farts and one final burst of mush. Leah straightens. She looks down at herself. She's got a visible diaper bulge under her pants, and the diaper is sagging, but at least she's not dressed like a toddler.
Confused about what's going on, Leah walks through the store, looking for Tina. As she passes by conversations, she finds herself affected by them, but the static feeling doesn't happen until someone looks at her. They always look away, not bothered by whatever Leah is doing.
Leah hears someone say something sucks and finds herself sucking on her thumb again (she managed to pull it out when she was pooping). The person looks at her. She has the static feeling, blinks, and her thumb is not in her mouth, a pacifier is.
The worst of what she's calling "warps" happens when she passes by people trying on clothes.
"Take off those pants!" someone says. Leah rips off her jeans, revealing her dirty diaper to the world. Someone walking by looks at her. There's the static feeling. Leah blinks. Her pants disappear from her hand as though she was never wearing them in the first place.
After ages, Leah finds Tina. She's pantsless, sucking on a pacifier, and has peed and pooped again. But Tina looks at her and doesn't bat an eye. She just says that Leah has to wait for a change until they're done shopping. Leah follows Tina down the aisle, wondering what is going on, and just why people aren't shocked at her. Clearly, reality is changing to fit these new behaviors, but she's not sure in what way.
