Tonya frantically repeats the reverse command, but Leah shakes her head.
"No, it's done," she says. Tonya pales.
"What is?" she asks.
"My potty training."
"That's it?" Tonya asks, sounding relieved. Leah nods. Tonya sighs. "I was so worried that it would be worse!"
"It's not great," Leah points out. "But it's manageable."
"Yes. And I will change as many diapers as you need!" Tonya buckles Leah back into her seat. The car starts again. "Out of curiosity, how do you know your potty training is gone?"
"Well, I know what a potty is used for, but not how to use it," Leah says. "And, uh." She shifts slightly. "I know I just used my diaper, like, a lot, but I can't tell. I can't feel anything weird or smell it."
"I'm almost jealous, because it is really stinky," Tonya says with a smile. Leah lets out an enormous fart. Tonya waves her hand in front of her face and rolls down the windows. "I guess I deserved that."
"Yeah, you did." Leah opens the bag of food and grabs a fry. She munches on it, not bothered at all by her current situation. She can't smell or feel it, so it's not impacting her, and she knows Tonya will take care of her.
"So do you think you can get potty trained again?" Tonya asks, stealing a fry. Leah sighs.
"I don't know, but I get the feeling I might be stuck like this for good."
"...Oh."
"But it could be way, way worse. This is the best possible option," Leah says. Tonya laughs.
"Yeah, at least you're not..."
