The obvious thing to do was get some ear plugs...and some new pants. Leah looked down at her ruined jeans with disgust. As much as she doesn't want someone to see her like this, she has a feeling randomly getting triggered by common words and phrases poses a significantly greater problem. She peeked out of the clothes, making sure the way is clear before bolting with her ears covered. She didn't check to see if anyone saw her or not, dealing with the stress better if she didn't know. Finding a small pack of ear plugs was simple enough; popping it open and putting them in gave her an instant feeling of relief. Now that she was immune to randomly spoken words, she could work on getting new clothes. Her pants are in an absolutely disgusting state, and she's unsure if she can travel without notice. Her jacket might mitigate it visibly, but it won't stop the smell.
As she turns to leave, however, she's suddenly face to face with another woman. The woman is saying soemthing to her, clearly upset, but Leah obviously has no idea what. She's not sure how she didn't see this coming, blocking her hearing will obvious make interacting with people difficult. She calmly points to her ears, trying to assuage the woman. The woman blinks in surprise, before pointing to her ears emphatically.
