Mary slept while Jess flew off into the sky on her own adventure. She was boiling hot, having a formless, restless dream. Mary woke slowly, having trouble thinking about much of anything. She felt something trickling down all over her body, and when she regained clear vision, she realized she was melting!
She sat up, removing her oozing form from the doorway with a suctiony-squishy sound. Her fingers had melted together, and her mermaid tail was half dissolved into a liquid puddle. The sun beat down mercilessly on her soft form. Desperately, Mary crawled farther into the kitchen, closing the door so that the air conditioning stayed inside. She was leaving chocolate smudges everywhere, but it didn't matter to her at this point. She had to harden up, fast.
Slowly, she made her way across the kitchen to the counter with the vials. Behind her snaked a long chocolate trail as she lost more and more of her body. Her tail portion looked more like a short snake at this point, the thin fins having melted quickly in the sun. As she crawled on her stomach, the strain became too much for her weakening udder. It collapsed underneath her, causing an explosion of chocolate milk which soaked her body and further increased disintegration. Her chest was now completely flattened by the floor as she scrambled across the tiles.
She reached the counter and attempted to hoist herself up on a chair to get to the vials. Mary was never so glad she had bought wooden kitchen chairs instead of upholstered ones...cleaning the place after this was already looking hard enough.
She was melting so much, she had lost even more of her height than her previous transformation into part-cat. She had no knees to speak of, so she could barely reach with her arms to pull herself up to the top of the counter. The strain began to feel too much for the weakened form, but more pulling from below her waist and a sudden drop in weight helped her make it up. She looked over the edge, finding that her body from the waist-down had fallen off completely.
Her arms deformed more and more as she crawled to the box. They became as undefined as tentacles. She pushed the button to open up the box and searched with chocolate eyes for a vial that would help her.
The Flavor drawer Jess pulled the Chocolate vial out of had nothing that sounded like "Normal" or "Unflavored" or anything that could completely reverse her chocolate state without turning her into some other food. She decided to settle on the Female Human vial once again, praying it did the job.
She looped a tentacle arm around the cork and pulled hard, at once dislodging the cork from the vial and the arm from her body. They fell onto the counter with a splat. with her other tentacle, Mary put the vial to her fused lips, forcing its way through her soft skin and pouring it into whatever internal organs she had left.
She started oozing out the clear liquid all over, appearing to have no other effect, and feared that her life was almost over. Just then, however, she felt her body harden. She tried to put the vial down, but her arm froze along with the rest of her body. She had turned completely solid.
Then she started to hear a crack. Then more cracks. Chocolate began flaking off of her, revealing light skin underneath. Human skin. As Mary grew in size, she shed all the fragments of her former chocolate being. Full-grown, completely normal human Mary sat atop the counter, still holding the Female vial. She saw from her naked body that she had reverted back to the original state she woke up with that morning, but thankfully she had regrown all the parts of her that had fallen or melted off.
She looked at the Female Human vial in her hand, beginning to have second thoughts about how dangerous these vials could be. But, then again, this vial didn't seem that bad, considering it just saved her life. The other side-effects weren't too bad, either, as she recalled. So she took a few more swigs of the vial and quickly felt the return of her perfect hourglass figure, larger breasts and waist-length hair.
"Aaah! This is better!" she exclaimed, hopping down off the counter. She surveyed the messy kitchen, with chocolate stains everywhere and a few stray raven feathers. Speaking of which, she hoped Jess would come back soon.
