Jeff stepped outside with the emitter, feeling the vastness of the world for the first time. He could go anywhere, do anything! It was exhilarating. Turning his family into monstrosities was a way of seeing how completely he could distort nature with his new toy, but not every family could be sustained as a horde of monsters since Jeff wouldn't be there to ensure they are fed, cared for, and .
Getting into the family car, Jeff first set the protections for the emitter device... The Chronivac program on the computer is worthless without one after all. So, anyone who tries to take it from him by force or keep it from him (or him from it), will become a slave. All values and loyalties will be replaced by the need to make themself available to serve and support Jeff, and doing so is their only form of joy once they become a slave. The same will be true if someone intends to hurt him or force his actions.
Assured that he is safe taking the emitter away from the property, he started the car and began making his way into town. There are so many ways he could experiment with people, he could corrupt their desires, their bodies, their hopes... and then he can return to his masterpiece back home and perhaps invite a friend over to watch his family (former family?) fight over who gets to keep the toy. Doing so would ensure others arrive and a steady stream of fodder or slaves to become fodder would arrive... but he's getting ahead of himself, who to mess with right now?
