Opal sighed to herself as she walked through the park, an umbrella keeping her dry. She felt so alone now. Ever since Delilah cast her out and turned her human. Delilah claimed that she restore her succubus self once she had learned humility and compassion. While Opal didn't see that as an impossibility, she had no idea how long it would take to satisfy Delilah. More to the point, she wasn't sure how she would survive until then. While Delilah didn't necessarily cast her out of the nightclub, Opal wasn't sure how she could stay there among her former sisters, knowing what she lost. And Opal wasn't sure how long she could live on mortal food. It just didn't have the same flavor as life essence.
Of course, Delilah didn't say that Opal had to remain human during her period of penance. Opal had other options to choose from, though she could think of a few she wouldn't choose. While she could certainly understand the appeal of joining a vampire clan, especially one as famously lesbian as the Karnsteins, she rather doubted that she would be welcome there. Especially since her last victim was turned into a vampire to save her life. And she had heard unpleasant things about the alpha female of the werewolf pack. Not only was Artemis Lylall known to be rather xenophobic, but she had heard that she was mainly wanting new females in the pack for breeding purposes. And Opal had no problem with fucking men. As a succubus, she is pansexual by nature and she still remained so even after being turned mortal. However, the idea of being used as a breeding bitch for only males didn't have a lot of appeal in the long term.
But there was plenty of other options for Opal. Succubi tend to gossip a lot between feeding on mortals and Opal had heard of others groups forming in Stokerville. The main buzz was about a werehyena pack that had been recruiting as much as they can. They're probably too desperate to expand their numbers to be picky. There were also two werefox skulks in town. One was a more traditional group of thieving, seductive pranksters, which would be a lot of fun to hang with. Then there was some werevixens trying to create a reformist group that was trying to suppress the worst of their anti-social nature and make them more acceptable to live among others. That sounds a bit more repressive than Opal would like. Besides, Jezebel was attached to that group and that would make things really awkward. Also, Opal had heard there was a romp of wereotters somewhere nearby. She hadn't heard a lot of them, but being a wereotter couldn't be so bad.
But being a werebeast wouldn't mean she'd give up being a succubus forever. Surely Delilah will allow her to rejoin the infernal sisterhood once she had seen that Opal has learned the humility and compassion that she needed. Though Opal also wondered if she should just try to bear it with being human until Delilah was satisfied.
