Now that he knew their names, he began to write down in the book. “Eli is similar to her parents,” he scribbled, an impish grin spreading across his face as he imagined the chaos that might ensue.
In an instant, a bright flash enveloped the stroller. James squinted, and when the light faded, he was taken aback. Eli had transformed into a grown woman, but instead of acting like an adult, she acted like a kid. Not to mention, she was still dressed like a baby, complete with a diaper and an overall dress adorned with cartoon characters.
Both James and, especially, her parents were surprised by this change. Mark stood frozen, mouth agape, while Kelsey blinked in disbelief. They had expected a milestone moment for their child, not a bizarre transformation into a colossal toddler.
Eli, now towering over her parents, giggled delightfully, her eyes wide with wonder as she picked up a stuffed toy from a nearby display. Despite her adult size, she bounced on her toes, clapping her hands together as if discovering the world anew. James couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight, intrigued by the absurdity of it all.
Mark finally found his voice, exclaiming, “What just happened?!”
Kelsey, still processing the situation, attempted to reason with her newly grown daughter. “Eli, sweetie, can you come here? We need to talk about this!”
But Eli was too busy exploring the baby store, her laughter filling the air as she spun in circles, oblivious to her parents’ bewilderment. The couple exchanged frantic glances, trying to make sense of the reality-bending event unfolding before them.
James stood there curiously, watching how the parents were trying to stop their adult-sized daughter from playing around the baby store.
