"Oh, sure, I'll give you a diaper change," Tina says. To Leah's surprise, Tina doesn't seem happy. If anything, she seems concerned.
"Is something wrong?" Leah asks. Tina sighs.
"Leah, you don't have to lie to me. If something you ate isn't sitting right with you, or you're sick, you can just tell me. Fully grown adults sometimes have accidents when they get sick. I won't judge you for needing diapers until you're feeling better."
"But...I'm not sick," Leah says, confused.
"Lay on your back," Tina instructs. Leah does as she's told. Tina grabs the supplies that Leah didn't hide as well as she thought she did. "Sweetie, I know your potty training isn't the greatest, but this isn't normal for you. Clearly, something is going on." Tina begins the process of changing Leah's diaper. "But if you don't want to tell me the truth, that's okay. Just know that this won't be permanent. Once your tummy is feeling better, you'll be able to make it to the bathroom in time."
"I..." Leah sighs. It's pointless to try to convince Tina, at least right now. "Okay."
Before long, Leah is in a clean diaper. She sits up and shifts experimentally, enjoying the feeling of the diaper around her waist. She smiles as her bladder lets loose. The warmth is pleasant.
But clearly, Leah needs to find some way to convince Tina that she doesn't just have the stomach flu or something. She just has to figure out how to do that...
