Speak of the devil an she shall appear. Like clockwork, as soon as Jenny had been gone for more than an hour, her phone started ringing. Sifting though her clothes, he found the phone stuffed in the pocket of her pants. Jeff took the liberty of going ahead and answering.
As soon as he did, he had to put the phone down. It was like a screaming contest but through phone lines. Jeff could tell it was Jenny’s mom, but she was super angry. He even heard her mention sending the police if she didn’t get home soon. Frankly, he didn’t see much need for her to be like that. Jenny was safe, more or less. Jenny’s mom had been standing between them for a while, and Jeff figured she needed a time out. So, Jeff did the only logical thing and punched in a new command into the Chronivac and pressed run.
He heard the line go silent, then the clack of a phone hitting the ground. Jeff felt quite proud of himself. But now, it was time to test if another function works. He opened Jenny’s file and found it just as it was before. He ran the restore function. Her clothes seemed to inflate. Jeff took special note that her soiled panties were sliding up her legs as she emerged before his very eyes.
“Jenny you’re back.”
“I was gone? What the heck, how did so much time pass.”
“I used this DELETE PACKAGE. You’ve been missing from reality for almost an hour now.”
“No way it worked, I just lost track of time.”
“Well, while you were gone, I left a bit of a surprise in your panties. Go ahead and see for yourself.”
Jenny reached into her panties and felt his sludge. A look of shock passed over her face, “Eew, gross.” Her look turned to excitement as she realized what this meant, “This thing is for real.”
“By the way, your mom called…”
“Oh crap!” Jenny quickly gabbed her things and rushed out the door before Jeff could finish his sentence. He would have chased after her, but figured she would find out soon enough.
As Jenny opened the door, she immediately started apologizing, expecting her mom to be waiting. When she didn’t hear a thing, she started to worry. She searched the house only to find, in the living room, her mom’s clothes draped over the couch, and her phone on the floor. It took Jenny a moment to figure out what happened, then a sly grin spread across her face.
“Heyyy Jeff”
“Hey.”
“Do you know where my mom went?”
“Well, that’s the thing, she’s not exactly anywhere right now.” Jenny started laughing at what she heard, only for Jeff to Join in. They were maniacs over the phone, reveling in an admittedly morbid situation.
“Jeff, you know what this means, right?”
“What?”
“I’m home ALONE right now, and we can to whatever we want at my place.”
“I think this opens up a lot of opportunities.”
“I think you should come over and we should find out.”
