For a few seconds, the identical quadruplet sisters stared at the equally identical twin sisters standing before them. They were quite pretty with their long dark hair that matched Thomas's slicked back strands rather than Isabelle's tresses that more closely resembled the younger girls' blonde. The twins blushed but said nothing as they stood in their lavender sleeveless dresses.
"We decided to keep you all a family," said Thomas. "So, now you are all sisters. Say hello to Valarie and Victoria. Pretty names, wouldn't you agree? They are twelve years old and are quite talented in dance and music."
"Say hello to your sisters, dears," Isabelle said.
To the younger girls' surprise, the twins immediately rose up on pointe like ballerinas. Hand in hand, they glided forward in perfect synchrony before dipping into a deep curtsy, their skirts fluttering around them. They were the very picture of grace and poise, and it was far too creepy.
"Mom? Dad?" Kat said, starting to tremble.
"Which one of you is Mom or Dad?" Dani demanded.
The twins only looked regretful.
"I am Valarie," the one on the left said in a soft voice that no doubt sounded beautiful when singing.
"I am Victoria," said the other in the same voice.
Kat made a sobbing sound, and Dani put her arm on her sister's shoulders. Patty only looked confused.
"Change them back," Beth growled.
"Oh, it's far too late for that," Thomas responded, puffing his pipe. "We've already made all the necessary changes. The world no longer remembers a Kevin and Julie ever existing. Don't worry, we have given them ample compensation. As our daughters, they have far more magic potential than before. You all do as well. Perhaps even you Beth."
"I doubt it," Beth huffed, walking up to the couple and crossing her arms. "Why have you done this anyway? You never had any interest in inserting yourselves into the human world."
Losing their cheerful expressions, The couple shared a glance. Thomas tilted his head, giving the go-ahead to his "wife." Isabelle replied.
