By this point, sliding yourself into the Bravescale is simple and almost feels like home with how much of the trip you’ve spent being one with her. Since your little breakdown, you’ve been able to just relax as your new self much better. It's the Psychological Adjustment, probably, but at this point, while you’re not happy, you’re not entirely upset about the brainwashing and reprogramming.
Coming out of subspace was easy, just a few procedures to take the surprisingly well maintained engines out of their faster than light mode and return to realspace. You’re not entirely sure how it works, but it does and you’re pretty content with that.
Your sensors pick up a number of things. First, you’re in a system with two inhabited worlds orbiting a sun similar enough to Earth’s star. Second, you’re being guided to a large collection of habitats and satellites on the outskirts of the system, clustered in a wide section of an asteroid field orbiting the furthest planet from the star. Finally, and most critically, you’re being guided to one station in particular, saved into the Bravescale’s databanks.
“Where are we going Lisa?” Your voice comes out over the ship’s internal speaker system, as you, after all, are the ship.
“It’s still so cool hearing you do that Mari~” she pats one of the bridge consoles, mostly unnecessary given you being there, but you appreciate the gesture all the same, even if you can’t feel anything she does in there. “But we’re actually visiting your designer!” Excited. “He’s an old friend of mine and I haven’t seen him in a bit and he says he’s got a job for us. Buuuuuut~” A bit conspiratorial, “I also want to make sure you’re in tip top shape before we go salvaging! And maybe see if he’s got any upgrades for you now that you’re all done. You’re my partner after all, and I need to be able to rely on you~”
There’s a few emotions that flash through your mind in milliseconds. First, overwhelming joy and pride that your Mistress, kind loving Lisa, cares about you so much to go out of her way to make sure you're in perfect shape. Second is increased respect for her, because only a true professional would take such care. And finally is a bit of indignation at the implication that you might not do what she wants you to; she’s your owner! Of course you would!
A day or so ago that might’ve produced some horror, but at this point, it’s just accepted. You’re not getting out of this, so why not just embrace it. Besides, she’s such a great owner and being turned into a robot is so great.
That last thought is only partially sarcastic. Psychological Adjustment at work, you suppose. Yay. That one *is* sarcastic.
“That’s great Lisa!” You say after a second or so in real time. “I’m excited to meet him! Eager to see how he can upgrade me!” Which is true, but a bit sanitized. You’re not entirely excited because for all you know, he might erase, well, you. It’s something that still scares you, but you’re not going to say that out loud unless you need to; no one wants a weepy robot.
One courtesy call to an automated system and an hour of in-system flying later, you’re at the small habitat’s dock. The place is less than an order of magnitude larger than the ship, about two times longer, wider, and taller on each side. It’s simple enough to connect the boarding hatch as well. The Bravescale’s got an automated assist which guides you through it. You just line up the craft to match velocity, connect the anchors and tractor tether, extend the tube and make sure atmosphere is good. You don’t even need to talk to the other station’s computer, it does it automatically given the IFF signal you’re broadcasting.
With the ship in park and you back in your body and accompanying your Mistress, you step off the Bravescale and right into…
