Jennifer thought about her situation for a minute. Getting older now meant that she would secure herself a safe year as her mother and grandma seemed to be in good terms with each other. In the other hand she didn't want to plunge herself into the unknown waters as she had never lived like this and she had no clue when or where she was right now. Getting year younger meant that her lifestyle could deteriorate or that their family life could get much worse. Jennifer remembers when week ago her only problem was to pass a test at the school.
Which reminded her. Was she in school anymore? Her mother and grandma seemed to be giving her life lessons but did those count as school life? What if she already failed and tomorrow she would be younger regardless what she did. How about her mother and grandma? She had to think about it. They were only decades apart from each other. Which meant that if they kept insisting keeping the tradition it would mean that once she gets younger her mother would be double Jennifer's age making grandma thrice as old as Jennifer. The thought made Jennifer shiver. Did she want to keep things how they were right now or take a huge risk and potentially cause even more weird shenanigans to their family dynamic. The curse seemed to be so potent that it was able to warp reality so a small chance still existed. Jennifer's heart beat got faster as she couldn't fathom what could even happen if she got even younger than that. Half an hour had passed. The clock displayed on the small hunk-of-junk TV that she had two and half hours to make a decision.
Jennifer stomach was turning as she had mixed feeling of her mother and grandma were providing illicit services. Was this also because of the curse? Would her great-grandma arise from the grave and join them too? Would she have to perform this ritual to her own kid some day? Scary thoughts. At this point, the curse could take any direction it wanted, but Jennifer had the reigns to steer it into a 'better' option. Would she bite the bullet and just grow older?
Or would she...
