Diane nodded and rolled the dice for Jerri. The dice landed on a six and Jerri was moved forward six spaces. She landed on a blue square. Diane picked up the card and read it.
"Life or lifeless? Switch to the other side and become the opposite of what you are."
Diane looked at Jerri, confused. "What does that mean? You're already a game piece, how can you become the opposite of that?" Suddenly, Jerri began to change. Her form shifted, and in a matter of seconds she was back to her original form, but with one major difference. She was now just about one and a half inch tall.
Diane stared at the tiny Jerri in shock. "Oh my god, Jerri, that was unexpected." Jerri looked around. She was glad to have her human body back again but standing on the game board was giving her a new perspective on the game. She looked up to Diane and was about to walk towards her friend but before she could leave the square she was on she bumped into some kind of force field. "Ouch!" Jerri rubbed her knee. "I think I can't move freely and I suspect that I have to wait for my next turn to move."
Diane looked at the game board and saw that Jerri was still on a blue square. "I guess you're right. I'll roll the dice and make my move."
