Circe watched as Damon flapped his wings and took flight across the forest and trees of her domain. The boy was doing well but he was clearly allowing his new instincts take over. He might have a few clumsy movements but he would adjust soon enough, especially as he was the one that had willingly chosen that new appearance. Damon perched upon a branch and squawked a new word of thanks towards the sorceress, who returned with a smile and nod. Damon was nice so he would get along with Eric. Actually, the smaller bird was not very far away, observing his new companion. He'd be there to show him tips. And Damon made a fine parrot. Not only would she gain a eye checking her domain, but he was rather dashing, all in red like that. Oh, she prided herself in being good with transformations. She WAS talented and she made sure to uphold her reputation.
Yet just a few days afterwards, Damon arrived with Eric to announce a newcomer. A girl in her mid-teens who was making her way to the castle. Circe waited and both birds discreetly perched onto a beam of the room, impatient to see what would happen. For them, it was better than a movie, and very entertaining. The girl was quite promising in that regard. She kept checking her cell phone and complained there was no network. She barely talked to Circe and preferred looking at her screen, even getting angry when the sorceress attempted to engage a more fruitful conversation. She clearly thought very highly of herself and Circe asked her to say what she desired. Eric could see the trap being laid. Banal and vapid as she was, she naturally said she wanted to be the fairest. Circe happily obliged. Both feathered spectators waited with bated breath, impatient to see what would occur to the arrogant teen girl.
