Tim looked down at his male body and sighed. "Well, I guess that does take care of some of our problems. I won't need to go missing."
"Disappointed?" Janine asked, smiling a little. In truth, she found herself missing Tam a bit, as well.
"I'm a little disappointed," Tim admitted. "But maybe that's just me wanting to be a mermaid again rather than wanting to be a woman. Who knows?"
Cleo patted his shoulder. "You're still a mermaid, honey. You'll get to enjoy it the same as the rest of us every full moon."
"You're right," he replied with a grin. "In the meantime, I'm still your girlfriend no matter how I look." He mimed a stereotypical hair flip. It was a ridiculous gesture considering that his hair remained short even when he was Tam.
Janine rolled her eyes and giggled. "And mine too. Should I start calling you 'girlfriend' in front of the guys?"
"Uh, no. Please, don't."
After that, the three of them made plans to get together again on the next full moon.
"See you at the office, Cleo," Janine purred, giving her boss a kiss. Then, she turned to Tim and kissed him, too. "See you later, too, babe."
"Babe?" Tim cocked an eyebrow. "You never called me that before."
"Believe me, it fits." Janine smirked. "If you could see how you look as Tam, you'd be calling her babe, too."
Tim blushed but tried to laugh it off. "I guess I can get used to babe."
Then, he turned to Cleo. "Till the next full moon," he said before kissing her also.
As Tim and Janine headed to their respective cars, Cleo waved goodbye. Then, her smile faltered a bit. Perhaps she ought to have told them that Tim looked a bit different than before. For one thing, his skin was much smoother, without any body hair or even facial stubble. And was it her imagination, or did his overall frame look thinner?
Oh well. It could be nothing. Just that aura of attractiveness that came with being a were-mermaid.
Everything would be fine. Right?
