The Emotion Swap package was still open on his computer. If he could just use that to buy himself some time, then he could surely do something to save Jenny. He opened the program and, on both sides, typed ‘Everyone’. Then in the left box typed ‘Bring Jenny home safe’, and in the right box typed ‘Murder Jenny’, and pressed swap.
Once again, nothing seemed to outwardly change, but he still needed to test if this worked. He pulls out his phone and dials up Jenny’s mom. She picks up fairly quick and Jeff stays casual about Jenny. He knew she didn’t like him being Jenny’s boyfriend, but he needed to know if this worked.
“Yes ma’am. Jenny and I haven’t done anything but watch a movie.”
“Good, the two of you are too young to be doing anything dangerous yet. God forbid, you do anything to ruin Jenny’s life.” The irony of what he did was not lost on him as he kept talking.
“So, would you like me to bring Jenny home now?”
“HOW COULD YOU EVEN SUGGEST THAT?!” He hadn’t been expecting that reaction “I don’t know what kind of messed up sense of humor you kids have today, but never speak of doing that to my daughter again. Do you hear me!?”
Jeff is surprised, but relieved he asks if he should just murder her, and a sigh of relief comes through the phone.
Jeff breathed a sigh of relief; his swap had worked. “Of course, ma’am. Very sorry for even suggesting that. Now, if it’s all the same to you, I’d like to murder Jenny.”
“Good, you do that. I don’t want to see her safe at home ever again.”
After she hung up, Jeff breathed a sigh of relief. His bases were covered. But he wasn’t out of the weeds yet. He still needed to do something about the over 100 pounds of Jenny still laying on his bed. Surely there was something he could do, he Just needed to find a way to bring her back. And if he couldn’t, he would have to hide her body somehow.
