Luckily for Jessica, her humiliating predicament did not last. As she watched Matt - now a girl of solely two months - suckling her breast, a gesture that she had been powerless to stop, she started crying in utter hopelessness. Jake had been such a jerk to do that! And leaving right after too! Of course the mean girl did not think that she had been mocking and laughing at Matt right before.
"I see the medallion has left another distraught victim," a voice said.
Jessica turned and saw a man with a bread, an old robe and a deep voice behind her. He did look like a fantasy magician.
"Who are you? How do you know of the medallion?" she asked.
"I am a warlock from the fae realm, though no fae myself. The medallion was talked of bu a colleague of mine a long, long time ago. Fun and profitable to wield, but not by the foolish and gullible."
Jessica bristled at these wards.
"Can you help me?" she asked, ready to accept any aid.
"Why, yes," the warlock said. "But for a price."
"What price?" asked warily Jessica.
"The babe," said the man, pointing at Matt.
"Why?"
Jessica was baffled by this.
"The fae adore human children. They want to raise them, as pets or children. I'll sell this former male for a decent price. I like gold coins as much as anyone. You yourself could earn a good wage as a wetnurse so you..."
"NO!" snapped Jessica. "Out of the question! Take this idiot and transform me back. You can take Jake too while you're at it. Consider it a present! He's the one who transformed me!"
"Oh," mused the warlock. "Does this Jake fellow now possess the medallion?"
"Yes."
"Then how about we trick him and I take him too? I return you to normal and you can even pick the garment to transform him."
"Perfect! Deal!" said Jessica.
"A deal made is a bargain done," smiled the wizard.
He uttered strange words and with a puff of smoke, Jessica was back to normal, to her intense relief. As for Matt, he was still two months old and female, but now in a wicker basket, surrounded by pink frills and bows and sleeping peacefully with a pacifier in his mouth. Even the soft blanket around him was printed with little swans with crowns.
"Let us gather your foe and then I shall gather that one back. Pick the garment you want for him."
Jessica rummaged around briefly and picked up a princess-y dress for a five-year-old.
"There," she said with satisfaction.
The warlock nodded and both left the room.
All went according to plan. With his magic, the wizard made the medallion touch the garment and Jessica threw it at Jake. In no time, the offensive dress had rendered Jake tiny, a little girl with blonde hair, blue eyes and a slender frame that would have won any beauty contest. His humiliation did not last very long under Jessica's gloating as the warlock fast put a spell upon the new little girl, making her sleepy and falling into a deep slumber. The warlock was pleased. These two girls would fetch a most handsome price in the fae world. A few spells would make them suit what he deemed more... marketable and erase any sense of manhood from them.
