That night Jennifer saw the most unbelievable dream. She was inside an empty void. Seeing her naked mother in the mirror doing the same movements as she was doing. No. It was her in the mirror back her own body. Jennifer wondered what the place was as it felt so empty and alien. The mirror in front of her started duplicated inside the room making infinite reflections of Jennifer. All of them looking different than she looked like. Some were younger, some were older and some of them looked completely different. One by one they disappeared and she was back at the doublewide. Now standing next to the kitchen table while her brother was sleeping on the cloth pile which was their bedding.
Jennifer had no idea what was she doing anymore as she was now in different place. It was her old home. Looking messier than ever. Suddenly she was in the same room where she started. A vision from her past when she met Alex. There was a still photo of Jennifer and Alex from her own past when she was fourteen. The room slowly turned into a stone and marble as the room slowly crumbled in front of her. A stinging pain hit Jennifer's stomach as she hold her belly. It was expanding rapidly like water ballon filled with water. Jennifer saw images from her previous timelines as they kept showing further and further images from the present. Jennifer's belly growing at the same rate as she saw these vision. Shrinking and growing with every image to reflect that small moment. Jennifer's body was burning as she had new images inside her head. Which quickly faded as a red door with a huge padlock attached to it blocked them. Jennifer was pushed out from the door as she was dragged like a leaf in a gust of wind.
Jennifer let out a gasp. She was lying on top of the same cloth pile while her now 3-year-old brother slept peacefully. She had gotten older again. But this time something felt off. Jennifer couldn't believe that she had another nightmare. What did she just see? What did it meant? She wore the same black t-shirt as her pajama but her hand begun to tremor as something about it felt wrong. So wrong that Jennifer had no strength to process why she was feeling so weak and helpless. It had to do something with the pajama. Jennifer was sweating bullets as she tried her best to force her arm to lift the shirt to see what was under it but she couldn't. What was going on here? Why couldn't she do it? The memories from two different past were bouncing like a yo-yo as she started to forgot her old home that she was in. She hadn't remembered Alex's name in a while. But why now? Why there was suddenly so many sinkholes and overlapping in her memories? Also what did these dreams meant.
Jennifer decided to just lie there while her brother kept tighly hugging him. Maybe it wasn't that bad after all. Her brother Lukas was there with her on the same boat after all. Somehow Jennifer felt an urge to protect her brother. She wanted to keep him happy and take him with her to a better place once she's old enough to rent a place of her own. Jennifer felt motivated to make this the best future for her brother. Jennifer returned the hug for her own brother as she felt calm and collected for the longest time. Jennifer closed her eyes once more as her body still felt tired from the nightmare.
