As they traveled, Ladybug's worry over the situation between Leksea and the stallion grew. The filly had said she didn't know her father, and it seemed some part of her that longed for a paternal figure was seeing it in the alpha. It didn't help that the alpha was incredibly doting towards Leksea. They played and ran together. The alpha showed Leksea things about the places they stopped and sheltered her when it rained.
But despite this, Leksea kept her adult mind and memories. She discussed plans with Ladybug as articulately as before. Though she was prone to getting distracted by the alpha.
The alpha, who was getting frustrated. It seemed he had noticed his attempts to claim Ladybug were not working. While he kept Ladybug as his primary mate, he also began to visit the other mares again.
Ladybug knew she would not lose the alpha completely, because he was enamored with little Leksea. But she was worried he would return to Iris as his primary mate.
Then, it happened. The alpha began to bring Leksea to Iris, as though she was the filly's mother. Luckily, Leksea refused every time and returned to Ladybug's side. But with how much she loved the alpha for her father, it was possible Leksea might abandon Ladybug to keep the alpha happy.
Ladybug had to do something.
