Time flies when one is having fun, and fun is a good word for two friend's as colt donkeys. Ric and Josh played and found their animal bodies' to be strong and agile.
Since Josh had been spelled by Ric, and Ric was cursed by the Demon, Josh was more human in memories.
It was common to see one of the colt's wipe his chin after eating and would rinse his mouth a the trough after grazing. Josh seemed to realize that his donkey self would some day be gone. Even as the colts played if Ric fell, Josh would stand near to help him up. This fun and play was first noticed by Jennifer Morrison the owner's seventeen year old daughter.
Each night Jennifer would go to the pasture gate and call, COLTS! The two would stop whatever they were up to and RUN for the gate.
As she walked the calm but happy pair to the box stall they had as home, she would talk to each as if they could understand. "Come on fellas, as she walked then on a rein each."
The colts now weened were shown the sweet grasses by the jenny. So back in the stall Jennifer gave each a ration of barley, oats, and a bucket for water. Then she would leave them to enjoy. Yet after her supper she would ofter come to the barn and play with them both.
