You've been filling out a spreadsheet for hours, manually entering numbers from an endless pile of diagnostic printouts, when you're snapped out of your trance by soft tap on your shoulder. Eve, the local HR representative, has somehow managed to sneak up on you.
"Hey there!" she chirps, clasping a manila folder tightly to her chest, "Looks like you're hard at work again today! Well, I have some good news for you—one of the higher ups has taken notice and they want you to work under them directly. Starting tomorrow!" She leans forward and places the folder on top of your keyboard, briefly locking eyes with you. "I think you'll really like the new position—", she continues, peeking at your monitor, "you must be looking for some change, after all." As she stands up, you blurt out a simple "Thank you!"—too stunned by the sudden conversation to say anything more. You catch yourself staring at her ass as she struts off, before composing yourself and turning your attention to the packet on your desk.
"A new position? Well, a change of pace would be nice..."
