Hiss and Silence

But then, like a crashing wave, clarity hits.

Your eyes snap open, and you freeze mid-motion, paw still pressed against your muzzle. The haze begins to lift, and the weight of reality settles heavily on your chest as your eyes blink once, then twice. Slowly, you pull your foot away, staring at the glistening residue clinging to your claws as the absurdity of your actions dawns on you.

A hoarse, wheezing hiss escapes your lips as you collapse backward, sprawling out on the cold floor. Your chest heaves, every breath rattling in your throat as you stare at the ceiling, the liquid latex pooling beneath your coiled tail. The fog of lustful madness recedes, leaving behind the chilling realization of what you’ve just done—what you’ve become.

Your forked tongue flicks out once more, tasting the air, as you let out a slow, rasping exhale. The silence is deafening, save for the faint squelches of latex clinging to your body and rubbery squeaks as you shift and move, your mind fighting to piece itself back together as clarity finally returns.

The reality of your new form begins to settle in, but the echoes of your euphoric haze still linger, leaving you caught between disbelief and complete jaw-struck awe at the creature you've become. You look at your hands—no, claws—and flex them experimentally. Your tail coils behind you, impossibly long and strong.

You blink, the edges of your vision sharpening once more. The euphoric warmth ebbs, leaving a strange, hollow quiet in its wake. You push yourself up, trembling as you sit back on your heels, then slowly rise to your feet. The residue of the transformation clings to your body, sticky and warm, but your focus is drawn elsewhere.

A mirror stands before, its surface warped and fogged, but clear enough to show what you’ve become. You stare at the figure reflected back—a towering, lithe creature with scales that gleam like polished rubber, a long serpentine tail coiling behind, and glowing green slits where your eyes used to be.

Your breath catches in your throat as you raise a trembling claw, brushing it hesitantly against the smooth, reptilian contours of your face. The scaled texture feels alien under your touch, and your chest tightens as the realization begins to sink in.

No… you try to whisper, though the sound is barely a hiss. Panic surges through you, and you grab the side of your snout, tugging desperately.

The latex stretches unnaturally, pulling away from your face like elastic. For a moment, hope flickers—but then it snaps back with a sharp shhhlrp-twang, the force sending you stumbling back.

You clutch at your face, more out of instinct than pain, as your reflection sways in your vision. Slowly, the truth sinks in: the scales, the claws, the snout—everything—is you now. There’s no seam, no mask to peel away.

You stagger closer to the mirror, your claws trembling as they hover near your chest. “This… this can’t be real…” The words form in your mind, but only a soft, rasping hiss escapes your lips.

Whatever it was—whatever had changed you—it hadn’t destroyed you. It had taken you to the brink, swallowed your humanity, and left you something new. Something else.

But you were still you.

…Right?

Your tail coils around your ankles, and you clutch at your scaled arms, your mind racing. There seemed to be no way back—no way to undo what had been done. You’re stuck like this.

Forever?

You reach up to your throat, black claws gliding against the cream, scale-like underside of your neck and jaw—but there’s no voice left to call out. Bar a low slinking hiss, the latex has taken everything, swallowing your identity beneath its glistening surface.

You slump forward, breathing heavily, your mind swirling with conflicting emotions.

And yet… despite the existential horror, a small part of you lingers on the fleeting, mad giggly joy you felt during the change. It clings to the warmth, the excitement, the thrill.

You shake your head, pushing the thought aside. Even as the weight of this new reality settles like a stone in your chest, it’s not enough to smother the flicker of determination that flares up somewhere deep within you.

Heaving a shuddering breath, your forked tongue flicks out involuntarily as you taste the stale, metallic air. You can't stay here. You need answers—answers to what has happened to you–about those latex beastmen–the mansion— concrete answers to everything you've seen tonight, and if there’s any way to reverse this transformation.

You wanted to go back, right…?

Blinking the thought away, your eyes pull away from the mirror to sweep across the dimly lit room. Your newly enhanced, snake-like eyes pierce through the darkness with ease, revealing details you hadn’t noticed before.

At the far end of the room stands a door, its outline faint but unmistakable. A glimmer of light escapes from its edges, as though the other side holds something waiting for you…

You hesitate for a moment, your claws flexing instinctively as you glance down at yourself. The latex sheen of your body catches the faint light, making you painfully aware of just how monstrous you’ve become.

But what choice do you have?

You take a cautious step forward, your long tail brushing against the floor with a faint hiss. Standing on the balls of your feet, clawed and reptilian, you move silently across the cold surface like a predatorial beast, the sensation strange yet instinctively natural.

The door looms closer with every step, its presence both a promise and a threat. Reaching out with a trembling claw, you pause just inches from the handle, your mind racing.

Beyond this door, beyond this chamber of your rebirth—may just lie the answers you desperately seek—or perhaps, more horrors you can’t begin to imagine.

You steel yourself, your slit green eyes narrowing as you grip the handle firmly.

Whatever awaits, you’ll face it. There’s no turning back now.
