Ty went for the obvious choice: bringing the Reptoids into existence. He considered letting them loose to see what they would do without his influence, but he figured it wasn’t worth the risk. The fact that he now had godlike powers was making him cautious about how he would use them.
He could begin the conspiracy now, but that was boring! Nighttime would be more fun, as it would be both creepy and free of distractions. To ensure that he wouldn’t be interrupted, Ty made two changes: Dustin would forget that he used to be older, and his foster family would ignore him until tomorrow morning.
The next several hours were the most agonizing wait in Ty’s life. He swore that time itself stopped a few times, and it wasn’t even because of his powers. This wait would benefit him, however, as he knew it would teach him to think before using his powers, so he could avoid dangerous consequences.
As the sky became pure darkness, and his foster family went to sleep, Ty decided that it was time. Standing in his silent, dim bedroom, he began to speak softly.
“I wish there was a 7 foot tall reptilian humanoid in my bedroom who would follow my every command. It won’t act independently unless I command it to.”
Ty immediately looked around his bedroom, but he couldn’t see the Reptoid. Did the wish fail? Were there limits to his powers? Was this all a big mista-
Suddenly, Ty felt a chill in the air, and turned around. Only to be faced with two reptilian eyes, staring down at him with a blank look. The Reptoid had arrived.
