Laura thought for a moment, her mind racing with the possibilities. "I want everyone to be like me," she said finally, looking up at the wizard with a hint of pleading in her eyes. "I don't want to be the only one who has to wear diapers and use baby bottles. I want everyone to understand what it's like."
The wizard's expression turned sympathetic, but he shook his head. "I'm afraid that's not possible, Laura," he said gently. "I can't change the entire world to suit your needs. But I can offer you something else."
Laura looked at him curiously, wondering what he had in mind. "What's that?" she asked.
The wizard smiled. "I can make someone love you for who you are, diapers and all," he said. "Someone who will accept you and care for you, no matter what."
Laura's heart skipped a beat at the thought. It sounded too good to be true, but a part of her hoped that it was possible. "Really?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
The wizard nodded. "Really," he said. "Would you like that?"
Laura thought for a moment, weighing her options. But in the end, she nodded. "Yes, please," she said.
The wizard smiled and waved his hand. Laura felt a strange sensation wash over her, like she was being pulled apart and put back together again. When it was over, she found herself standing in her own living room.
But something was different. The room was filled with all sorts of babyish things - diapers, baby bottles, pacifiers. And in the middle of it all, standing on the couch and waving at her, was Kaitlyn.
Laura's eyes widened in surprise. "Kaitlyn?" she said, wondering what she was doing there.
Kaitlyn jumped down from the couch and ran over to Laura, throwing her arms around her. "I'm so glad you're home," she said, hugging her tightly.
Laura was taken aback by the sudden display of affection. But as she looked into Kaitlyn's eyes, she saw something there that made her heart skip a beat. It was love, pure and simple.
"Kaitlyn," Laura said, her voice barely above a whisper. "What's going on?"
Kaitlyn smiled and took Laura's hand. "Don't you remember, silly? We agreed to go out to dinner today."
Laura finally realized what happened and blushed deeply. Kaitlyn is no longer just her best friend, but her girlfriend now.
