Rusty woke up in the middle of the night due to a horrid smell. It didn't take long to figure out the source, given Marshall was grunting. Once Marshall finished, Rusty changed him again. The toddler boy slept the entire time. Rusty couldn't help but coo at how cute he was. Even though Marcia would hate it.
Marshall had clearly been through a lot, because he slept through a second change, when Rusty got up in the morning and saw the tot was soaked. The boy snored softly, unaware of Rusty dressing him for the day, putting him back in the baby bjorn, and then heading out.
In the light of day, the house seemed much less scary. Rusty whistled idly as he headed for the dining room to get breakfast.
Christine was already there, and startled to see Rusty with a toddler boy. Rusty explained everything as the chef prepared a breakfast for him and Marshall.
"So, he's mentally still himself?" Christine asked. Rusty put Marshall in the high chair a maid had brought over.
"Unless that changed during the night, yes. When he fell asleep, he was still mentally Marcia. Just...limited in his abilities due to his current body."
"I see." Christine sighed. "Well, if he's mentally himself, hopefully he can be unbiased enough to decide what he should do. On the one hand, he might need to stay here to find a way to turn to normal. On the other hand, he's very vulnerable in this state."
"Yeah..." Rusty felt uncertain of how unbiased Marshall would be able to be. There was a yawn from the high chair. Rusty smiled at Marshall, now waking up. "Hey, sleepyhead! Good morning! Christine and I were just talking..."
Rusty explained everything to Marshall, as well as asked him what he wanted to do. After a few moments, Marshall responded with...
