You were told by the man his name was Seth. You got all the tests done & were now sitting back in your room with Seth awaiting the results. "I'd like to talk with my dad or mom to try & piece together my lost past." You told Seth. Seth responded with a "No." Puzzled but also angry you asked "What you mean No?" "You're property of the zoo. Not your mom & dad." He answered. Very puzzled and angry growling you questioned "What the hell does that have to do with anything?" Seth seeming to get a bit nervous rubbing the back of his head "I don't know if you're allowed actually. Being a zoo animal. I just assume you aren't. And I don't want to get in trouble if you do." You thought a bit about it & you weren't sure yourself actually. You thought a bit more & then asked "Can you call the zoo or the owner & find out how long I have actually been a fox in the zoo?" Seth seeming to get further nervous "I don't know if I can do that for you Red." You shook your head frustrated but then an idea hit. You put a hand on Seth's arm (he was that close to you). You tried to do a cute animal look & said "You could put the phone on speaker. They don't know have to know I am listening." Seth chuckled "Trying to be cute again fox? Fine." Seth pulled out his phone & dialed it. After 3 rings you heard a woman answer giving the zoo name & her own name. Seth gave his full name & asked "How long the anthropomorphic male fox Red been part of our zoo?" The woman answered after a bit "6 years & 5 months. The fox was transferred to us from Amberton Zoo who had it for about a year before us." Seth thanked her & hung up. [I've been an anthromorphic fox & a zoo animal for a bit over 7 years now? And I was owned by a different zoo too?] You thought surprised to learn that. "That's clear across the states. You weren't even our zoo's animal at first." Seth commented. You looked back at Seth was still on his cellphone. Questioning you asked "What state & city are we in?" (The zoo's name wasn't any indicator btw). Seth questioned "Why does that matter?" "Why does it? Why you asking that?" You asked confused that he replied like that. Seth asked "Why does it matter to you Red?" Getting a bit angry "I may be a fox but that doesn't mean I shouldn't know." Seth holding firm "Why does it matter to a zoo animal; as you are." You asked again "I want to know." Seth still holding firm getting a bit angry for some reason replied "It doesn't matter fox. Now stop asking." And with that Seth got up. "I don't think I should of did what I did for you with the phone. I hope I don't get in trouble." He began for the door. "Now you are not to go anywhere Red." "Really?" You asked angry. Seth replied to that "We maybe friends but you are still property of the zoo. If you take off I'm going to get in so much trouble probably fired. So be a good little fox & obey me." Getting a bit angry feeling like being treated like a child you replied "Fine. I'll stay put." Seth left with a "Good Red." You got out of bed back onto your feet (paws) & thought reminding yourself [I'm not a human. I'm a fox. An animal. A zoo animal. I must remember what I am.] The nurse entered the room & looked around asking "Where your owner?" You answered "He left for some air I guessing." You then felt you needed to use it. You looked to the bathroom. That's not for a fox like you. "Can you take me out to potty?" You asked her. "Uh...sure. But I better leave a note incase your owner comes back while we out. I don't want him to freak or anything." "Understand." You nodded. You didn't want to have Seth freak or anything if he found you not in the room.
