To the bedroom

Josh’s lips hovered close to Melissa’s as they caught their breath, their faces flushed with heat. His hands slid down her arms, gentle yet deliberate, as he looked into her eyes. The soft glow of the lamp lit up the faint shimmer of his makeup, making him look even more alluring.

Josh tilted his head, a playful smile curling his lips. "So…" he began, his voice low and teasing but laced with a genuine softness. "Should we take this into the bedroom?"

Melissa froze for a moment, her heart pounding against her ribs. She knew she shouldn’t. She’d promised herself she wouldn’t go down this road again. Not with him. But the way he looked at her, the way his body felt pressed against hers, it was impossible to ignore the pull.

Her fingers trembled slightly as she placed them against his chest, an attempt to create distance that only seemed to draw her closer. "Josh," she started, her voice tight with conflict. "I don’t think this is a good idea."

Josh’s expression didn’t falter; instead, he leaned closer, his lips brushing the edge of her jawline as his fingers traced light patterns along her shoulder. "Why not?" he whispered, his voice smooth and inviting. "You’re here. I’m here. We both want this. Why fight it?"

Melissa’s breath hitched, her body betraying her resolve as a shiver ran down her spine. She wanted to argue, to say something logical that would break the spell he had on her. But as his fingers slid down her arm, leaving trails of heat in their wake, the logical part of her was quickly silenced.

"Josh…" she tried again, though the hesitation in her voice betrayed her.
He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, "Stop fighting it, Melissa. Just let yourself feel this. Feel us."

And with that, her resolve crumbled.

"Fine." she muttered, her voice laced with a mix of reluctance and anticipation. "But if this goes sideways, I’m blaming you."

Josh’s grin widened, his eyes twinkling with victory. "I’ll take full responsibility.” he said, taking her hand and gently pulling her to her feet.

As he led her down the short hallway to his bedroom, Melissa felt her heart pounding in her chest. The space was just as tidy as the rest of the apartment, with soft lighting, neatly folded blankets, and a faint scent of lavender lingering in the air. She hesitated in the doorway, her gaze flickering over the room as if searching for a reason to stop. But before she could second-guess herself, Josh turned to face her, his hands finding her waist as he pulled her close.

"Still doubting this?" he murmured, his lips brushing against hers in a featherlight kiss.

Melissa’s breath caught, her hands instinctively finding their way to the fabric of his dress. "Shut up and kiss me." she whispered, her voice barely audible over the thundering of her heart.

Josh didn’t need to be told twice. Their lips met in a fiery kiss, their movements growing more frantic with every passing second. Melissa’s hands worked quickly, finding the hem of his dress and tugging it upward.

"Careful." Josh teased between kisses, his voice light but filled with amusement. "That dress cost me a fortune."

Melissa smirked, her nerves momentarily giving way to a spark of confidence. "I’ll be gentle." she replied, though her hands betrayed her impatience as she slipped the dress over his head.

The garment fell to the floor in a soft rustle, leaving Josh standing before her in nothing but a lacy black bra and matching panties. Melissa froze for a moment, her gaze trailing over his body, every curve and line.

"Wow." she breathed, the word escaping her lips before she could stop it.
Josh’s cheeks flushed, but his teasing grin didn’t falter. "You like what you see?"

Melissa didn’t respond with words. Instead, she stepped forward, her hands finding his waist as she pulled him into another kiss. Her fingers explored the soft fabric of his lingerie, the heat of his skin just beneath, as Josh melted into her touch.

Josh’s hands moved to the buttons of her shirt, his movements slow and deliberate. "Your turn." he said softly, his voice both a suggestion and a command.

Melissa hesitated for a brief moment, but the way Josh was looking at her with an intoxicating mix of desire and admiration washed away her uncertainty. Slowly, she reached for the buttons of her top, undoing them one by one. Josh watched intently, his gaze never leaving hers, as she slipped the fabric off her shoulders and let it fall to the floor. Her slacks came next, and soon she stood before him in nothing but her boxers.

Josh stepped closer, his hands tracing the curves of her hips as his eyes roamed over her, filled with admiration. “You’re beautiful.” he said softly, the sincerity in his voice catching her off guard.

Melissa felt a warmth rise in her chest, a rare vulnerability she hadn’t expected to feel. She cupped his face in her hands, their foreheads resting together for a brief, tender moment before she kissed him again.

The rest of the world faded away as they moved toward the bed, their touches growing more urgent yet still careful. Melissa’s mind was a blur, filled only with the overwhelming intensity of the moment. For now, she let herself forget everything else. The doubts, the regrets, the gossip. All that mattered was him.

Melissa guided Josh onto the bed, their lips fused in a heated kiss as her knees sank into the plush mattress, straddling his hips. Her fingers trailed down his chest, feeling the faint rise and fall of his breathing beneath her touch. Josh's hands instinctively found her waist, his grip firm yet tender, as though grounding himself in the moment.

When she pulled back slightly, her eyes roamed over him. His flushed cheeks, the way his hair fell slightly out of place, and the faint shimmer of his makeup under the soft glow of the bedside lamp, all of it was mesmerizing. He looked at her with a mix of playful confidence and raw vulnerability, a gaze that sent a shiver through her body.

“Are you just going to stare at me all night, or...?” Josh teased, his voice breathless yet carrying that familiar inflection of mischief.

Melissa smirked, leaning down until her lips were just a whisper away from his ear. “You’re lucky I’m in the mood to spoil you.” she murmured, her voice low and teasing.

Josh’s breath hitched, and she felt the subtle tremble beneath her fingertips. His grip on her waist tightened slightly, and his grin grew softer, more sincere. “I’d say I’m the luckiest boy alive right now.”

Without breaking eye contact, Melissa slid her hands lower, brushing over his lush abdomen before gently tugging at the waistband of his panties. Josh lifted his hips slightly, allowing her to slip them off, and she set them aside carefully. He blushed but didn’t shy away from her gaze, his playful smile softening into something more vulnerable.

Her fingers lingered at his sides, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath her touch, before moving to unhook his bra with a steady hand. The fabric slipped away, and she leaned down to kiss him again, the embrace deep and lingering.

Their bodies melded together as Melissa lowered herself onto Josh, her hands braced on his chest. She could feel the heat radiating off him, his skin warm beneath her touch as they moved together in a rhythm that began slow and deliberate, each movement full of anticipation.

Melissa's breath hitched as she gazed down at him. Josh's face was a mixture of vulnerability and raw pleasure. His lips parted, his cheeks flushed, and his eyes fluttering closed as he tilted his head back against the pillow. Every soft moan he let out sent a ripple through her, igniting something deep within.

Her movements became more fluid, more confident, as she adjusted to him. Melissa's hands slid down to his sides, steadying herself as the pace between them grew quicker. The faint creak of the bed beneath them became a steady rhythm, mingling with the sound of their shared breaths and soft sighs.

Josh’s hands rested on her hips, his grip firm but not overbearing, guiding her subtly as he surrendered to the sensations overtaking him. His voice broke into a low moan, deep and unrestrained, while Melissa bit her lip, trying to keep her own sounds under control. Her restraint, however, wavered with every passing moment, the intensity between them building until she could no longer hold back.

She let out a soft gasp, her eyes meeting Josh’s for a fleeting moment. His gaze was hazy, filled with a blend of admiration and pure desire, and it spurred her on. Melissa shifted slightly, leaning forward as she picked up the pace, her body moving with a newfound urgency.

The creaking of the bed quickened, filling the room as their movements grew more frenzied. Melissa’s breaths turned into shallow gasps, her heart pounding as a wave of warmth and pressure built within her. Josh’s voice rose, a series of broken, breathy moans that only heightened the electric pull between them.

When Melissa finally reached her climax, the sensation was overwhelming, a rush that left her trembling as she slowed her movements, savoring the moment. Her body tensed for a brief second before she exhaled deeply, her arms giving out as she collapsed onto the bed beside him, her chest rising and falling rapidly.

The room was silent except for the sound of their breathing, heavy and uneven as they both tried to catch their breath. Melissa turned her head to look at Josh, who lay sprawled out beside her, his face still flushed and a small, content smile playing on his lips.

She didn’t say anything at first, letting the quiet envelop them as she closed her eyes for a moment, trying to calm the racing in her chest. The aftermath of their shared intimacy lingered in the air, warm and tangible, as they lay side by side, their bodies still buzzing from the intensity of it all. Her mind, however, was beginning to drift away from the intimacy they had just shared. The haze of passion was fading, and reality started to creep in. The post-nut clarity was hitting harder than expected, and she felt an uncomfortable pang of regret settle in her chest.

She shifted slightly, creating a small gap between them as she pulled the blanket higher, almost like a barrier. Josh stirred, his arm draped loosely over her waist. The weight of it felt both comforting and constricting, a reminder of the closeness she wasn’t sure she wanted to face. His breath, soft and warm, brushed against her neck, contrasting sharply with the cold rush of thoughts racing through her mind.

She cleared her throat, trying to gather her thoughts. "Um... I should probably get going." she said softly, hoping the quietness of the moment would make her words sound less awkward.

Josh nuzzled into her shoulder, seemingly unfazed by her attempt to pull away. “Stay.” he murmured, his voice low and husky. “It’s nice having you here.”

She froze, torn between her instinct to leave and the gentle pull of his presence. “I really should…” Her words faltered as Josh tightened his arm around her, holding her in place.

“Why?” he asked softly, his tone light but laced with sincerity. “It’s late, and it’s comfortable. Just stay a little longer.”

Melissa bit her lip, her mind spinning as she wrestled with the decision. The rational part of her was screaming to leave, to avoid the awkwardness of lingering. Yet, the way his body pressed against hers, the warmth of his embrace, and the tenderness in his voice made it almost impossible to pull away.

“I…” She hesitated, searching for an excuse. “I have things to do at home.” she offered weakly, knowing how unconvincing it sounded.

Josh lifted his head slightly, his sleepy eyes meeting hers. A teasing smile played on his lips, but his voice was earnest. “Can’t it wait?”

Melissa glanced away, her gaze landing on the bedside table where her phone rested. She could easily make up a reason to leave, send a quick text, and slip out. But as she looked back at Josh, his ruffled hair, his flushed cheeks, and the soft vulnerability in his expression, something inside her wavered.

“You don’t have to stay if you don’t want to.” Josh said gently, his fingers brushing lazy circles on her arm. “But… I like having you here. It’s not often I get to spend time like this.”

His words hung in the air, and Melissa felt her resolve weaken. She took a deep breath, trying to quiet the doubts swirling in her mind. “I know.” she said softly, her voice barely audible. “It’s just…”

Josh leaned in and kissed her shoulder, his lips warm against her skin. “Just relax.” he whispered. “Stay a little longer.”

Melissa sighed, the weight of her regret mixing with the pull of his touch. She wasn’t sure how to explain what she was feeling. The vulnerability, the guilt, and the realization that this wasn’t just a casual fling for her. It was complicated, and she knew it. But in that moment, it felt easier to surrender to the warmth of his embrace than to face the uncertainty waiting outside.

She closed her eyes and leaned into him, letting the silence stretch between them. Josh pulled her closer, and soon his breathing slowed, his body relaxing as he drifted into sleep.

Melissa, however, stayed awake, her thoughts a chaotic swirl as she stared at the ceiling. The weight of the situation pressed down on her, but when she glanced over at Josh’s peaceful expression, she felt a pang of tenderness. His face was serene, his features soft in the dim light of the room. The way his hair fell messily across his forehead and the slight pout of his lips made him look so effortlessly endearing.

Her fingers reached out almost instinctively, brushing a stray strand of hair from his face. “You’re really cute.” she whispered, the words slipping out before she could stop them.

Josh stirred at her voice, his eyelashes fluttering as he slowly opened his eyes. “What was that?” he murmured, his voice thick with sleep.

Melissa froze for a moment before smiling softly. “Just admiring how cute you are.” she said, her voice teasing but gentle.

Josh’s lips curved into a lazy grin. “You’re lucky I don’t know how to handle compliments this late at night.” he teased back.

Melissa let out a soft laugh, her earlier anxiety easing slightly. “Guess I’ll just have to keep giving them until you figure it out.”

Josh’s hand reached for hers, his thumb brushing lightly over her knuckles. “You don’t have to leave.” he said quietly, his tone steady but hopeful. “Stay a little longer.”

Melissa hesitated, her heart pounding as she considered his words. Leaving now would be the safer choice, the easier one. But as she looked into his eyes, saw the quiet vulnerability there, something inside her shifted.

“I don’t want to go.” she admitted softly, surprising even herself with the honesty.

Josh smiled, his grip on her hand tightening slightly. “Then don’t.”

And with that, Melissa allowed herself to stay, curling into his warmth as the quiet of the night wrapped around them both.
